I'll join. I'm going to choose Switzerland as my country because my favorite February activity is skiing and I would love to ski there someday!
Well, it will be my first time I do something like this. Hopefully, I can do a good job representing Mexico.
This sounds fun! Coming back to edit my comment after I have a moment to think about this a little bit more.I forgot to come back to this... oops. I'll go with something new and pick Ireland because I've always wanted to go there and part of my ancestry stems from there :)
I'm in for Japan, because it's my favorit country. So, if I understand correctly, you need to read books about the chosen country?

Welcome, reading athletes, to the EHRTBM 2022 Reading Olympics!
For the month of February, we will be competing for gold, silver and bronze medals by country. Points will be awarded for pages read plus bonuses. Here’s how to play:
🏒 Choose the country you would like to represent. This can be your current home, your birthplace, your heritage, or your favorite country in the world. All your posts should indicate this country.
🥌 Read books, any genre, any topic. But for this challenge, we will exclude sparsely-worded books like graphic novels, children’s picture books, cookbooks, poetry and art books.
⛸️ When you’ve finished your book, post a message with the following information: Country, Book Title, Date Finished, Pages Read, Bonus Points (if any).
⛷️ Example: “Latvia, Jane Eyre, Feb.12, 560 pages, 50 bonus points (bookshelf)”
🏂Points will be awarded for pages read. Plus 50 bonus points for books read from the EHRTBM bookshelf. Plus 50 bonus points for books read about the Olympics or Olympic sports.
We will track the points awarded by country until Feb.28th, when medals will be awarded for 2 events: Total Pages Read, and Average Pages Read (total/participants).
🥇 🥈 🥉
Good luck and good reading!
