She led him down the stairs and all the way to the hill over looking the docks, "We'll start here,"

She lay her head on his shoulder and watched the ferry arrive.

Derrick looked out at the ferry. He bit his lip.

Derrick looked for familiar faces, nervously shifting on his feet. He bit down on his lip.

Jevidiah stepped off the boat. He looked around while his stomach fluttered. Nervousness, he was going insane with it. This had better be a haven, the guy said it was. It was secluded, the police wouldn't find him here.

Derrick glanced at her and smiled. He looked back at the people coming off the boat and his smile almost instantly faded away, changing to a frown.

Jevidiah walked in the other direction. No it couldn't be, he was dead! No, I shot him. He couldn't have survived that drop, they had a death certificate. It had to be someone else.

Jev looked at his papers. Where was his place? He better ask directions. He pretended to not be nervous as he waved someone down. "Hey could you help me?"

Emily saw a guy waving at her. She walked over. "Yeah, sure. What do you need?" She asked, smiling.

"Um could you point me in the right direction?" He handed her his address. She was kind of cute he noticed. He laughed in his head, like he needed more girl trouble.

Derrick frowned. He took a deep breath, looking down. He tried to keep himself calm.

"Sure." Emily looked at the address, thinking of where it was.

Derrick tensed, surprised. He pulled away a moment later. He looked at her, frowning. "I'm sorry." He whispered, his voice shaky.

"Emily." She said simply. Emily looked around. She knew the island by heart and knew it wouldn't change.

She walked into the big house and stopped in front of the Mayor's door. She stopped and gripped both of his hands. "I'm sorry, Derrick,"

Emily pointed to a pale blue house down the street they were on. "Over there."

Derrick walked up the steps of the Mayor's house. He sat on the top step, not ready to go in.

Emily smiled at him. "I'll see you later, then."
