I absolutely adored Nocturn Falls, Geogia - in my mind it is set in the North Georgia Mountains - maybe close to Helen GA...pretty place in the mountains...Delaney & Cappy (her maine coon kitty) have to leave Brooklyn rather quickly and how she ends up in GA is rather funny. I thought the characters were cute although some really could have been better developed. Now for Delaney & Hugh - I am not entirely against the "instalove" scenario but it's annoying. I wanted them to develop their relationship more not just fall instantly head over heels in love. There were a few humorous moments in the book but not many,,,Hugh's grandmother needed to be present more because in the few scenes she did have - she was a hoot. I will probably read book #2 in the series but will probably save it for the next bingo.

Review: I'm rating this average because well written and many will enjoy. A good thing about this challenge is getting to works languishing on the TBR pile, particularly downloaded at-one-time-free books. So I am glad I read it. It is original and clearly will develop into a rich, complex series.
On my left, a cemetery edged in a weathered wrought iron fence. I think there were more than two hundred headstones. More dead than living. Nice. But it was so not my cup of tea. Too creepy, heading into horror. I hate love triangles and by the end (view spoiler) . Not exactly the "fated mate" trope that can irritate me nor exactly dubious consent. But the souls of past lives needing to have sex to fix potential world ending evil, that he kept her clueless while working mojo to lure her in, for me ... too much.
Tonight, Rick and Prudence had taken away my world of safety and security and replaced it with horror and uncertainty. But it was well done. It wouldn't have had a creepy factor for me otherwise because would have quickly DNF'd.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I am going out of town tomorrow for a week, so I won't be posting a lot but I'll check in occasionally.
