I think she finally realizes that she was completely wrong about Lucy. It must have been a really tough thing for her to realize that maybe the negative reports about Lucy were, in part, sour grapes and misconceptions. My lasting impression is that she will turn out to be a good manager, but she will still keep an eye on Lucy.
I don't know about Rachel yet. She knows that Rick Stockton is watching. She also sees that Lucy did a good job despite all the roadblocks that Rachel put up. My lasting impression is that there was a degree of jealousy that she has to move past. I'm sure that there will still be some tough moments ahead.
After her talk with Rick Stockton, I think Rachel realizes she was reading more into the situation than was there. I'm hoping she will try harder to see Lucy as one of her employees who is an excellent agent.
Rick’s call to her was a wake up call. The fact that he made it was clear to Rachel that she’d done something to prompt the call. It set her back on her heels to stop digging in and pay attention to what’s in front of her and not her imagination running amok.
Based on what others knew about her, I believe Rachel was a solid leader who lost her perspective. I think she’s embarrassed about her behavior and recognizes it may be too late for her to regain the respect of her entire team. Undoubtedly, she saw Lucy’s interview with that dirtbag Anton, seeing that it was a teaching moment for others to come. And! She was on the outside of the most incredible operation the bureau has ever undertaken because of her own choices.
I think she will overcome this but it will be a permanent stain, though invisible, on her record. Everyone who matters knows what she did.

Rachel has a long rough road in front of her. She has much to make up for with Lucy and I'm sure the other agents all know what she did also. I feel like the call from Rick made her see that she was in the wrong. It made her see that Lucy isn't the bad guy and that she is good at her job.
I feel like she is. Lucy has a lot of friends in high places and she's good at her job. That has got to be hard when the employee is a rookie.
I’m leaning towards that myself, Melissa. It’s compounded by the fact that Rachel is out of the loop on a lot of Lucy’s past ops that are now redacted or classified.
For a rookie, Lucy is a Rock Star. She has more operational experience than any other rookie in the history of the FBI. If Rachel weren't a little intimated by her, I would have been surprised. She chose the absolute wrong way to deal with Lucy and I think it has to do with envy of the things Lucy had done and the people she knows, so yeah, she was jealous of her.
