Gabby | 6 comments Finally getting back into reading after years of stalling out, and I’m feeling pretty ambitious for 2022. Pretty new to goodreads on top of it all, so I’m pretty pumped for the year ahead. Already two books into my tbr mountain and halfway through my third.

Finished TBR Books:

1) The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
2) A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Currently Reading

To Sir Phillip, With Love by Julia Quinn

Gabby | 6 comments Just finished To Sir Phillip, With Love, and what a SLOG! I hated nearly every minute of that book. The only positive is that while reading the last 50 pages, I began annotating and writing in my book for the first time. It made the story more bearable, and I think I’ll start to do that more from now on.

So that makes 3 books on my list, and I’m going to start my 4th.

Gabby | 6 comments #4) Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell

Had this on my shelf for around a year or so, and pleased to say that this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. The story was haunting and beautiful, and I even found myself in tears toward the end of the book. A story about how people deal with traumatic experiences, and how their lives move forward after, and even how a broken family dynamic can create broken people without proper tending and nurture. Easy five stars, and a book I’ll be thinking about for a long time.

Hands down one of the worst books I’ve ever read. I’m almost upset that I spent money on this book once upon a time. I don’t even want to give it away, I just want to throw it out.

Gabby, you're doing great--almost a fourth of the way up the mountain!
