I'm tallying books translated into German separately (as a, b, c,...) so...a. Rowling's Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen. Fun. Good German reading practice, not so daunting.
I just finished...b. Die Leidenschaft der Anderen by Aysel Ökazin. I'm tallying it with a letter because it was translated into German from the original Turkish.
Brief story of a Turkish woman writer living in Berlin in the mid 80s. Doesn't have a big story arc. It's more of a thought-piece on being Turkish and female in both Turkey and Germany (at that time, but themes still apply today). Perhaps semi-autobiographical. My German is not that great, but there were some lovely turns of phrase in this little book.
My next book will be by a German-writing author, for sure! :-D
Staying in the Turkish immigrant theme, I'm returning now to Der ewige Gast, written by the journalist son of an early Turkish immigrant to Germany.

ich habe 2022 vor, mindestens 6 Bücher zu lesen. Bis jetzt habe ich Trotzdem von Schirach und Kluge, und Max und Moritz schon gelesen. Ich kann die beide ganz empfehlen.
I hope to read at least 6 books in German this year. Currently listening to Harry Potter und der Stein der Wesen. Great fun! Fabulous reader! On my Kindle, I'm reading Der ewige Gast.
Happy Reading, Everyone!
