Does anyone know in what order I should read J.R.R. Tolkien's books? I want to read all of them, not just Lord of the Rings. I am embarking on what I call January J. J. R. Tolkien! Even though it will take me a lot longer to read all his books! :)
Awesome!! I just started The Hobbit, my first of JRR Tolkien's books! Looking it up, it sounds like The Hobbit, LOTR, and then The Silmarillion is the best way to go:) I would ask if you were interested in a buddy read for The Hobbit, but I'm an extremely slow/erratic reader and would probably significantly slow you down XD

I also am a slow reader especially with other books I need and want to read each month, so we can buddy read if you want. :) Maybe I should ask if anyone else wants to join on the Buddy Reads folder? :)

Cool! I'm glad you're not giving up on sci-fi yet! I haven't read it yet, so let me know how you liked it:)

That's awesome! That would be fun! I've had some free time, so I've been reading it at a fairly constant pace (about 10-15 pages/day 4-5 days a week), so I'm a little more than a third through. I personally think that reading it lock in step isn't super important for me, it's just discussing the book that's fun for me. Yeah, that would be super fun if you're up for it! :D

Treasures of the LochsThis is suspenseful YA Christian fiction, involving a modern-day treasure hunt in Scotland, with a bit of supernatural thrown in. Blending historical fact and Scottish legend within an action-packed adventure, Treasures of the Lochs is a powerful story of faith, friendship, and redemption. The target audience is teenage and above (some parts would be too intense for younger readers). This book is a 2024 NIEA Finalist in Religion Fiction. It also hit Amazon#1 New Release for Christian Fantasy. I hope you’ll check it out.

I am almost done with Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix. Then I will be continuing Enchantra.
Just finished the fault in our stars, no spoilers for my young adult girlies but I cried so hard at the and 😔I also finished Emma by Jane Austen, it was about two sisters, but I didn't enjoy the narration from the main character

Nothing wrong with that.... Getting your Christmas spirit early is not bad.
