And now you know how to get the sequel. Enjoy!

Option 3 - A book off of the group's bookshelf
Read - 2/19/15

In this second installment Toby is at it again getting herself in all sorts of trouble . Her leige has sent her on an assignment to check on his niece and she encounters a bunch of dangerous fae along the way. We also see a few characters that have become a must in this series like Tybalt and Quentin. They get in all kinds of danger as usual but in the end Toby and the crew pull through and save the day the best they can. This is a great UF series that always gives me my fae fix when needed. I am excited to read more.

Happy reading!! :D"

Review: I stumbled upon the first book in this series by accident, but as soon as I began reading, I was instantly a fan. This second book to the series was just as entertaining. I love the family dynamic amongst Lon (single dad), Jupe (son), and Cady (girlfriend). Demons and witches are not usually my first choice of paranormal reading, but I definitely make an exception with this series. I find the description of the magic used, quite fascinating. The demon storyline took a little more getting used to, but now that I'm drawn into the story, it all makes perfect sense. The world is creative, but not too far-fetched, and the characters are quite intriguing and memorable. Jupe is still my favorite and I can't help but chuckle whenever he speaks. His 13 year-old humor is so spot on! Cady makes a great heroine, brave and caring, but vulnerable and not too over the top. I love that even though she has magical abilities, she is no superhero (yet at least). She is powerful, yet still continually learning exactly what she is capable of. And Lon has just the right combination of tough guy masculinity and sensitivity that is really appealing. I love that each book is a continuation of the next, yet each contains its own individual story. This one involved solving a mystery of sorts, and contained quite a bit of action, which I can always appreciate. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in this series!

A few years ago I got the first book of this series free for kindle...I've been hooked ever since!

This was one of her best. Lost a star because too much teen angst with Curran and Kate, didn't like that. Otherwise I couldn't put it down. And it was so funny, so awful, so sad, I can't believe who they killed off and who they maimed. Really sad in parts, I will really miss dead character.

I DNF this one last year. I'm wondering if I just wasn't in the mood since I loved the others in the series. Maybe I'll put it back on my list. Hmm...

Good to know! I won't write it off then :)

I started reading this series when I was in the middle of Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. If you've read them, then I'm sure you know about where I was when I just had to know all the things about Nick. All the things!
This series just gets better and better. It's funny, fast paced, full of quirky and fun characters, and there's cameos from the Dark Hunter-verse. Once I pick one of these books up, it's hard to put it down.
Nick and his friends find themselves in all sorts of shenanigans, once again. But, more importantly, Nick finds out more about himself and who he is. Oh lawdy, does he find out! Sheesh. Dude has some serious powers, now if he could just figure out how to use them better...
He also needs to figure out what the heck is going on with Kody and Caleb *gives them major side-eye* They're seemingly loyal to Nick, but... I don't know. I have a bad feeling about them.
The side characters are all kinds of awesome, I especially enjoy Kyrian (duh!) and Ambrose (double duh!), but my heart truly belongs to Nick. He's quickly becoming a top favorite character of mine.

We could be the first, no one has put in for a stamp. Lisa? Breann?

I've been doing a reread of this series in audio and I think it's even more enjoyable the second time around. I'm not having to focus on the world building as much as I did the first time through. I also really like Angela Dawe's narration. It took a bit for me to get used to her, but I especially like that she changes her tone for every couple. She doesn't do the same male and female voices for every book.
The romance between Tally and Clay was a bit slow for me. I wasn't really into it until about 50%. Other than that, I really enjoyed it. This is the only series where I really don't mind the POV changes. I'm just as interested in the Changelings as I am in the Psy and the council.
Plus! Kaleb is SO much better the second time through. I liked his scenes initially, but I loved (lovedlovedloved) them during the reread.
Now, onto Hostage to Pleasure!

I always considered myself a fast reader, but you ladies definitely have me beat.
I have a problem with audiobooks because the narrators usually read them too slowly, which really annoys me and I get impatient. I do listen sometimes, but never enjoy the books as much as when I read them.

I listen to audio books at night. It takes weeks since they lull me to sleep. If the book is good, i often end up reading it in paper so i can finish it this year ;-)

I'm in awe!!!

Good Job!! :D

I try and go through the library if I can. Audio books are not cheap! But I read/listen to a lot of M/M and they don't have those in audio at the library. Well, they might and I just haven't found it yet :D

Review: So this series has always been a little corny, but in a fun way! I enjoy the change of pace from the more typical paranormal stories. In this book in the series Howard finally meets his mate (a home improvement tv show host). Howard has been around in this series for a long while, maybe from the very beginning (I can't really remember that far back, but I know it's been a while). And it is way past time for him to have someone meaningful to share his life with. The romance between he and Elsa was sweet and I think they fit well together. I enjoyed the introduction of the "Guardians" and hope we get to see more of Greta and Ula (the crazy aunts). Several more new characters also joined the story and the Dragon Nest family keeps getting larger and larger. Lots of new stories still to tell and I look forward to all of them.

If you have a membership they're cheaper. M/M books aren't as expensive as M/F from big publishers. Also, some book are only $1.99 if you buy the ebook from Amazon with it (which is usually cheaper). Then you can switch from audio to print and both apps will keep your place. I always come by those deal by chance though, I don't know if there's a way to search for them.
