Arthur, I'll bet you had fun with your intriguing mix of prompts along a well thought out story.
yes it was fun - actually played on my initial reaction to a tougher than average challenge so wrote the process of trying to free-wheel riff on the quote into the story itself - thanks Mirta

Cheers, everyone has been amazing and all the stories were great - we have some amazing talent here. I have actually just been commissioned to write a non-fiction pub history book (I have until November 2023 but there is a lot to do for it). Do let us know of your own successes with stuff you are writing too.
