My goal is 100 books for 2022, but I desperately need feel-good books this year! I just finished
, which is a beautifully written book but I cried, got angry, and finished exhausted. This pandemic, the racial injustice in this country, and my own personal junk are just too much. I would love to hear your recommendations for great stories that left you feeling uplifted, at peace, or just smiling! Thanks all!!

For me, it helps to read humorous books, the sillier the better.
I liked:
One for the Money (Stephanie Plum #1) by Janet Evanovich (a fun mystery series - for extra credit you can watch the movie afterwards)

That's what I did in 2021 and continue to do so now. I am all about the easy-reads and contemporary romcoms.

I just started #3 after remembering the fun I had with the first ones! Didn't know there's a movie!!

I really enjoyed the story and characters, the suspense, and I learned some new things about the hardships encountered by our Indigenous people in this country. Good Read!!
fun, fun, fun...I may never be able to get through all the Stephanie Plum novels, but I like the three I've read! She's a great character!
. Love stories about the natural world; this one was very beautifully written. A few strange twists that didn't quite work for me, but overall a very good read.
I absolutely loved this book; it's hard to imagine the conditions these ladies worked in during the 50's in London and they did it with such joy.

I haven't seen the show but I listened to the audiobooks a couple of years ago and really enjoyed them!

Just finished The Music of Bees. Wonderful characters and story; love a book where strangers come together to make their own family. Highly recommend!!

Just finished “The Bone People” by Keri Hulme. Ugh! This was beautifully written, but the story was just too painful and infuriating for me! I rated 2 stars, then 4, now back to 2. Can anyone help me understand why this is so well-loved?
