Martha (marthas48) | 767 comments I finished my 2nd book for February ... enjoyed it, too. I love Leslie Jordan. My Trip Down the Pink Carpet by Leslie Jordan

Rhonda | 178 comments I finished my choice, Krakatoa The Day The World Exploded, 27 August 1883 by Simon Winchester . I had a hard time with the first half as I do not have a background in geography or geophysics (and did not have the time to research terms as my new grandbaby was born this last month). However, the 2nd half was much better for me covering the state of the island before it blew up, the effects around the world after the eruption, and the development of the new islands & life that formed on them. It probably deserves 5 stars for someone who understands the whole book, but for me I will give it 4 stars.

Christina (cmb1987) | 13 comments I read Reduced Ransom! (Hotshot, #1) by Mike Faricy . I liked the idea of the book more than the actual book. It was okay, some parts were funny but it strayed off from what I thought it would be.

What brand do you drink? I drink Tea Forte's raspberry, and it's almost like a raspberry syrup, the flavor is so rich. Glad you're better.

I read this recently too and the science was a leeeeeetle overwhelming. I was interested in how he said it was the worst tectonic event in history in terms of lives lost, and then I realized it was originally published BEFORE the 2004 tsunami which took a quarter of a million lives. I bet he found that eye-opening!

I rarely don't finish all my picks but this month I was behind by two. I'm reading one right now: The Wrong Side (Bocephus Haynes #2) by Robert Bailey . Man, this is such a good series!
