Disappointing Books
the inheritance games and I fell in love with hope. both got so much hype on Tiktok and i was so let down
@TarriaGod have mercy yess i read fanily of liars and i felt like it was worse than we were liars. i hated everyone. like you said, its just a bunch of rich sheltered kids whinning and whinning
to add onto what i didn't like about we were liars: - one dimensional characters
- the "plot twist"
- the romance between gat and cadence
- felt like a whole bunch of rich people whining
Woof- it was to boring and didn’t get to the point fast enough it took me a month instead of a day to finish it was so boring (NO MAJOR KIDNAPPINGS LIKE THATS AN ESSENTIAL)
I read “they both die at the end” years ago and didn’t really like it, I might reread though. It starts with us was nothing compared to it ends with us. I’m not a huge romance reader, unless recommended by a friend, but Cohos books and Ali hazel woods books I really like in the moment and then looking back on them I don’t. It ends with us I still love, probably a 4-4.5 for me, but I have it a 5 and I’ll keep it that way. Ugly love is probably a 3.75 now but I gave it a 5. In the moment a gave the love hypothesis a 5 but I think it’s a 3. My opinions change
Look I’m sorry, I know a lot of people loved this book, but I think “They Both Die At the End” was really disappointing and overhyped. There were some good parts, and I liked the ending but it took me forever to read because it just seemed to go so slow.
only read the first book so far but the cruel prince series, heard a lot of great things about it but the book just seemed to be all over the place
The Maze Cutter 😭 I really love the rest of the maze runner books, but that was a huge letdown.
Dashner is milking the franchise at this point
This was overhyped by my mother. She absolutely loved this book called Anatomy so naturally I got it out of the library and hated it deeply. I didn’t even finish it. It wasn’t good.
Book Lovers by Emily Henry had SUCH amazing potential, and while I loved the plot it felt like it was written very poorly. I also regret reading the Shadowhunters series: siblings in love trope, demons possessing people trope… it was just not good. The only good thing from that was Alec and Magnus.

How so? The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes' ending cinfused me

The hunger games was disappointing because how it ended. (The main trilogy) I disliked Peeta’s character s lot so for it to end with them being all happy and stuff was just not very satisfying for a series that was that intense.
I was very disappointed in Natasha Preston's books. I've read the Island and the Lake and they were both subpar. The Lake was straight up bad tho
I agree with one of us is lying! It was okay, but disappointing fs.This is an unpopular opinion, but they both die at the end. It was too slow for me.

I know why people feel Gale was better but Peeta was what katniss needed, gale did nothing but act selfish when she was in the arena and made everything abt him. Peeta always put katniss first and was a genuinely good person. And i liked the ending bc it was what katniss needed, and for her to finally be able to settle down showed that she felt safe, and she had the life of a victor. But i understand tho, i was team Gale at first.

the only girl in town was kinda disappointing and confusingit ended it and i was so confused what was happening
Ann wrote: "I was very disappointed in Natasha Preston's books. I've read the Island and the Lake and they were both subpar. The Lake was straight up bad tho"Really?? I love her books! If you want to give more of her books a try bc I would say that the 2 that you mentioned were NOT my faves. Anywho if you want to, try The Cellar or The Cabin
Six of Crows. I do think that it was me that just didn’t enjoy it. I desperately wanted to like it but I just couldn’t get into it 😞
I am so disappointed in the red queen series. In total I read 1,991 pages spilt over four books and in the end I don't even know were Cal and Mare stand. I want to cry
I read it pretty recently and I didn't like it either. I was so excited for it but I couldn't read the rest of the series. I don't like dystopian that much and idk, I just didn't like it. I was so disappointed that it was disappointing
Probably the series of unfortunate events for me when I read it. Just not much detail, after I started the tv show I just drifted away from reading it.

Has anyone read the prequel Family Of Liars? Because I hated it so much and the characters were somehow even more unlikeable and worse; inconsistent.
