Glad you liked it -- this was your PIFM pick that "accidentally" also fulfilled the color challenge, wasn't it? So a good twofer!

, gave it 5 stars. I absolutely loved this book. It made me laugh, cry and jump for joy."So glad you enjoyed it, Denise! I loved it too.
I started They Said They Wanted Revolution: A Memoir of My Parents
but stopped at about 25% and won’t bother finishing. Wanted it to be more about the Iranian Revolution and how it affected families, but very little of that was written.
I'm enjoying All the Light We Cannot See, but it's slow going, I'm afraid! The print is small and my eyesight isn't the best at the moment (cataracts and a macular cyst) but I'm determined to keep going. I'm not a fan of audio books, so that's not an option.

Well, at least it's off the shelf.

Really enjoyed my second pick,
. Kisha Lewellyn Schlegel’s essays kept me wondering how she was going to connect her fears to different cultural icons. My thanks to the person who placed this in the neighborhood tiny library!
Finished my second one,
. As a basketball fan and pickup game player, I loved this story of the MVP of the current NBA champions. Five stars.

I liked your review!

A Pale View of Hills by Kazuo Ishiguro - My Review"
I liked your review!
Finished my third pick
. 5 /5 I like medieval stories and this was mostly historically accurate (author actually explains at the end what she changed) with interesting character arcs and a decent mystery. Definitely reading more of the series.

I finished book #2 of 3 for February and very much enjoyed it:
When Books Went to War: The Stories That Helped Us Win World War II by Molly Guptill Manning - 4* - My Review

I really liked that book -- especially how important the availability of books was considered to be during that conflict.
Thanks, Jennifer!

First book finished The Last Queen of England, I maybe should have put it down and tried again at a different time, as I really struggled to focus on it, even though I quite like genealogical mysteries, and I like the author.
It looks like an interesting read, Desley, although I can see how you’d have to be in the mood for it.
Finished my 3rd of 3 for February and absolutely loved it!Thanks, Jennifer!
The Master by Colm Tóibín - 5* - My Review

I have knocked out four (don't know if I'll get the last one knocked out tomorrow but I will try...) -- "An Ordinary Life" was quite moving. "Matriarch" -- I have been torn about Queen Mary but came to admire her a lot more after I read this! I liked "The Second Mrs Astor" but wish it had gone farther into her life after "Astorhood." And "Poisoned Prose" was a fun entry to a series I very much like.
Off to "Southern Bred and Dead" tomorrow, I hope!!
Thanks for the picks!

Jennifer, KAT hasn’t picked for me yet and it’s the last day of the month. What are the rules on this? Do you then pick for me? Thanks.
Yes, if she hasn’t picked for you by the time I get home from work (2-ish today) then I will make the pick.
I finished Kindness Goes Unpunished this week. Loved it as I expected I would. One of my favorite series.

Jennifer wrote: "Martha, I love that series too!"It is great! I bought all that had been published up until my husband had his stroke (he couldn't read after) so am working my way through them. He loved the tv series, too. We watched that together.
