Temple Grandin seeks to explain the behavior of animals by drawing on her experience with them and research of others, and harnessing her own autism to understand animal behavior. This book is a treasure trove of insight and information, and should be required reading for anyone who wants a pet, and anyone who works with animals. It's very readable, and sounds like it might be transcripts of her lectures. She references a lot of other people's research and books that sound like they would be fascinating reads as well.
