Aaron | 3 comments I read this about 5 years ago (2015) but I think it is a bit older than that. My copy was hardcover and I believe the cover was white and green.

SPOLIERS AHEAD!!

The main character, Hue or maybe Hu?, lives in a world where people can be uploaded to the cloud but doesn't like technology. He gets a god whistle that is actually an alien lodged in his throat that turns him into a woman and basically uses him to start a revolution that culminates with he/she being uploaded anyhow and starting a revolution with the AI that runs the cloud where his parents and friends "live"

Michele | 2488 comments Aaron, do you know if the book was by an established author? Was it short, medium, long, humungous? Would you say it's YA or more aimed at adults? Can you recall any of the other characters? How old is the MC?

Aaron | 3 comments Hey, Michele! The book isn't really YA but it is humorous. Mostly I think there is a lot of kind of R rated language that would make it not for a younger audience. There aren't really any other standout characters other than a particular female judge who I think compels the MC to keep the god whistle inside them? The MC is in their 20s or early 30s. Its not a terribly long book, call it 300 pages or so? Im honestly starting to think Im crazy cuz I have asked all my other literary friends who I might have lent it to and nobody even remembers me describing it to them. My SO told me that it likely means I should just write the thing myself! :)
