After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. I hated Heart Bones I gave it a 2. I'd have given it a 1 but I reserve my 1-stars for DNFs haha. I just couldn't get over the MC and I found it had no plot. I need her older more original ideas.

I just saw there's a buddy for this book xD I decided to take a look if there was since it's a new release. Anyway, here's my general idea of the book so far, since I'm in 40% (finished ch 18):

(view spoiler)[ It's been a while since I really loved a Colleen Hoover book from the start, I think the last book by her I gave 5 stars was Verity, I read that one a long time ago and I have read a few others after that. It's all just to say that Reminders of Him is 5 stars for me so far, let's see how I feel about it until the end.

I really like Kenna and Ledger, I think they're two of the best well written characters by CoHo in a long time. I also think there's something more to Scotty's accident/death, because it doesn't make sense to me that Kenna would just run away and leave him there.

Lastly, we can always count on CoHo to give her main characters weird names, right?? lol (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[ Ok, I cried with the last few chapters. I knew (at least I was pretty positive) things would be resolved somehow in the end, but still I got really emotional. Kenna meeting Diam was so wholesome, and Grace and Patrick's acceptance of her was too after everything they've been through and thought about her.

I only thought it was kind weird her naming her newborn Scotty, but it makes sense to these characters, so I can ignore that. (hide spoiler)]

First quarter. Usually I find the alternating perspectives a bit irritating at first, but this is helping to get under the skin of each character. I'm sensing they will become allies of sorts, but I'm wondering what the story is that we're not being told about the crash.

Finished. I didn't think I'd get to read much today, but this was definitely one of those books I got caught up in and raced through. The short chapters and alternating viewpoints make it very easy to submerse yourself in. I'm looking forward to seeing what you all make of it. I'm thinking I might be in a minority with my overall response to this. Review on home page and it's a hard one to precisely sum up my feelings for. She has a daughter that she hasn’t seen in ages because she went to prison for what happened to Scotty; why would you move back then?? To be closer to the girl sure, but damn.

Not loving her feeling sorry for herself tbh. Love that she got a cat tho oops. Apparently Ledger is already in love with her then wtf. Don’t trust him idk why. Wtf that escalated quickly, they're already kissing??

Omg Ledger was Scotty’s best friend!!! Did not expect that damn. It doesn’t seem like she knew Scotty that long anyway, it’s odd. I like Ledger though, poor thing is so confused 🤣 (hide spoiler)]

I don't like that she (view spoiler)[ seems to fall in love with this guys too fast. I imagine she hasn't met Diem because as soon as she was born Scotty's parents took her and never allowed Kenna to see her, I would've done the same if Scotty was my son. I think she was with Scotty like 4 months? Never met Ledger was meant to meet him before scotty died but he never showed up. (hide spoiler)]

He wants to help her but at the same time he wants to keep Diem safe and give Patrick and Grace their space. I love Lady Diana "JERK" she is funny. I love the whole, "is that a fucking pigeon?" that is hilarious. I am glad Kenna has that kitten and that she name it Ivy after the one person in prison. I'm glad Kenna took the scrunchy. (view spoiler)[ On the one hand I feel bad for Kenna having survived that tragedy of losing Scotty and knowing that she could've called 911 and get him some help and he would still be alive. This just really goes to show drinking and driving can ruin your life in a second! I feel it was a mistake and that Kenna should get to start over. Meet her daughter and be part of her life. I'm glad we are getting to know a little more about Ledger. I love Lady Diana, she is so witty!!! "LedJerk" lol. I like that Ledger is there for Kenna and that she can count on him. I hope their relationship survives and that somehow Diem does become a part of Kenna's life and vice-versa. (hide spoiler)]
