Barb, Always amazed at the selection. Thanks you for doing this which must take lots of your time and effort.(graphics update - Have cobbled something together to keep working and will test out for our Zoom call tonight. New PC on order should arrive early next week, should be back to normal after set up and data transfer - might get to the current Doerr short story this weekend if package hasn't arrived early)
I just read "The Line" by Amor Towles, the selection for 1/22. I have some things to say about this story, but will wait until the due date to share. Let's see if I can actually participate in a CR discussion or two this year.Theresa
The intro note for the "The Line" will be posted tomorrow (Tuesday). I'm in North Carolina with my son's family but heading home today. if you want to start the discussion, please do.
I also just read The Line. Having enjoyed A Gentleman in Moscow and The Lincoln Highway, I'm a fan of the writing style of Amor Towles. Looking forward to the discussion!
If you are without the Anthology and enoyed our last conversation about Towles' The Line , perhaps you can access online our next story online The Snowmen by Steven Millhauser try https://www.jstor.org/stable/25006576I haven't managed to find the Claire Vaye Watkins, or the Elizabeth McCracken online, But you can read the following ones online
