He noticed waving out of the corner of is eye and stopped, pulling out his earbuds. He held his hand up in a wave and began to walk over.

“I’m okay. My mom is bedridden with sadness, but she’s stein. She’ll be okay.” Carly said. “That’s my youngest brother, by the way, Harry.” said Carly, pointing to little Harry.
He nodded and waved a little bit to Harry. "I'm sorry, by the way. I was a complete and utter ass to you in class." He shook his head, "Contrary to popular belief, I'm not normally an ass."
“Mmm. Okay. Me neither.” she said. “Do you always jog over here?” she asks, smiling. He hair blows in the wind.
“We hadn’t even started class yet! And he said “Put away your phones.” like how does that make sense?” she says, laughing.
“For. Real.” said Carly. “Sometimes I wanna cuss and flick them off til their eyes and ears bleed, ya know?” she said. She shakes her head, exasperated.
“ME TOO. It’s probably not good, but who freaking cares at all?” she said, then laughs. She glanced back at Harry, who was playing in the jungle gym now. “HARRY! NO! You stay off the jungle gym, you understand me?!” she said, rolling her eyes. “Anything else, just NOT THE JUNGLE GYM.” She turned back to Max.
“I can’t keep him off the monkey bars. He’s a beast at them. But when I was 4, I fell through the jungle gym’s hole and broke my leg. And I was trapped for a while.” Carly said. “So that’s why.”
“It’s fine. I was okay at the end, but I just don’t want anyone to get hurt too.” she says. “I’m very protective of everyone.” she said, then laughs.
Carly cleared her throat. “Anyways. What all classes do you have at college, besides Statistics and English?” she asks.
“I have Sociology, Business, but it’s in a different hour, Psychology, and Physiology. I want to be a Therapist to Teens. And I could do an extra class, so I picked Physiology. All the other classes are for my job.” she said. “What do you want to be?”
"That's cool. Why teens?" He asked, curious, "And why did you do an extra class?" He thought for a moment, "I don't really know what I want to do." He said after silence for about ten minutes.
“I like counseling my friends, and siblings. And they had a thing where if you do 6 classes, you get an extra one for free! Anyways, so you don’t know what to do?” she asks, grass green eyes watching him.
He chuckled a little and shook his head, running his hand through his hair again, "Not really. I never really thought about it."
He nodded, "Yeah, sorta did that on purpose. That way I would have options if I still don't know what I'm doing once I'm out of here."
“That’s smart.” Carly said, flipping her ponytail. Then she massaged her neck. “Do you… like to help people?” she asks, blushing.
Max couldn't help but look at her neck as she massaged it. It was like she was begging him to do so. He cleared his throat and looked away, "I uh.." he cleared his throat again, not really knowing what to say, "Yeah, I guess."
He furrows his brow, "You want me to pick my life path right here, right now? Because you're impatient?"
Carly blushes again. “Sorry. I’m an enneagram 7 wing 6. Meaning I have anxiety, but am very impatient and want more.” she laughs.
He nodded and laughed, "It's okay. Just know that I'm not going to be picking anything anytime soon."
Carly jokingly pouted, then smiled. “When I drop off Harry at home, you wanna go catch the new Spider-man movie? We can stuff our faces with candy, icees, and popcorn.”
Carly blushed. “K.”After dropping Harry off at home, she and Max headed to the movie theater and got the food and sat down for the movie. “Do you like movies? Or books more?” she asked, grinning, and took a sip of her cherry coke icee.
Max smiled and said, "Movies. Hands down. Movies everytime." He took a sip from his sprite icee, "What about you?" He asked, looking at her.
“Fo real movies. Some books are interesting enough to read, but I love movies and tv shows.” she said, grinning. She stuck her hand in the popcorn bowl.
He nodded, "Yeah, but I don't read books. I just don't understand them." He shrugged and took another sip of his icee. "What's your favorite movie?"
