Aria was in the Orb, eating burger. Bringing out her book, she began reading it
Lin sat next to Aria, smiling. She pulled her salad up to her--she wasn't overly fond of meat, being a pegasus--and turning to her friend. "Hey-o!" She said happily. "How's your day been?"
Aria smiled at her best friend. Moving her book, she looked up and said, "I'm doing good, just finishing up my book! How about you Lin?" she asked doing finger guns at Lin.
She laughed and grinned back at her best friend. "I'm great!" Lin made the finger-guns back at Aria. "You goin' to the party on the beach tonight?"
She nods, "Probably!" she said nodding. "What do you plan on wearing to the party?" she asked taking a sip of her hot coco
She smiled, "I'm not sure yet. I don't want to go crazy, but I also don't want to wear something bland...maybe something with an open back, so I could unfold my wings from time to time...what are you going to wear?" She stops blabbing and intently fixes her gaze back on her friend.
She thought about it. "I'm not so sure yet...I'm gonna see if I have a couple good dresses," she said looking back up. "I thought I could wear this one," she says bringing up an image(view spoiler)
"Ooooh, it's really pretty!" Lin's eyes widened. "Y'know, I also have a dress that could work..." she pulled up the image on her own phone. "Would this be too fancy?"(view spoiler)
She looked at the image. "No I think that would be fantastic if you wore it!" she said. SHe looked at the image once more
"Great! Then I think I'll wear it!" She smiled. "I'm happy it's an open back...I hate the thought of my wings being folded up all day." She looked at Aria's picture again. "Yours is really nice too! You'll look beautiful in it!"
She smiled and nods, "Yeah I might end up wearing it...I just won't wear makeup, Cause I hate makeup!"
"Yeah...makeup's not fun...but I think I'll wear a little, like mascara and gold eye shadow...maybe a hint of blush." Lin grinned despite herself. "Alright, alright, I guess that's not a little it...I guess I'm wearing makeup."
"I might just do hair and call that good!" she said looking at hair pics. "I figured I might end up doing this!" she shows her Best Friend another picture(view spoiler)
Lin's mouth fell open. "Oh my gosh, that's so pretty! Aria, you're going to take the spotlight!" She gaped at the picture, imaging her friend with her hair like that. "You're going to be so beautiful!"
Aria smiled at her friend and nods, "Yeah all I need is a mirror and then I can easily style my hair like that! Hey I was thinking maybe we can practice styling what our hair will look like in my dorm!" she nudged her friend
"All you need is a mirror?! How did I never know this about you?!" She grins, staring at her best friend in amazement. "Yes, yes, that sounds great actually. I need to practice what I'm going to do. I'm thinking about a braid on the top near my hairline and a bun in the back, and little white flowers braided in." Lin pulled up a picture, "Something like this."(view spoiler)
She smiles, "You're going to be so beautiful! If you ever need help, just let me know!" she said smiling at the picture
Lin smiles at her friend. "I'll keep it in mind!" she says happily, finally touching her salad. She munched on her food and took a swig of her mango tea, "What shoes are you going to wear?"
She thought about it for a while, before replying, "Some sort of blue high heels," she said scrolling down. "Something like this!"
"They'll look really good with your dress!" she grinned t her friend, then scrolled down on her own phone, and pulled up an image of her shoes. "I'm thinking about wearing these."(view spoiler)
She nods, "It'll look so good!" she said squealing happily
She giggled happily, "Mine? You're the one who's going to have the princess hairdo!" She smiled and rocked back-and forth in her seat. "Okay, now I'm getting worked up..."
She giggled as well, "Oh please you'll look very pretty as well!" she said smiling at her best friend
"Thanks," she said sheepishly, her face growing red. Lin wasn't looking for a boyfriend, but if the right person asked...she wasn't going to say no. She giggled again, shaking off her embarrassment.
Violet was walking around, bored
Anna walked into The Orb and looked around to see if there was anywhere free to sit. She was starving though, and she didn't know where the food was. She fingered her pendant, a tiny bit nervously. She looked around again, beginning to feel like an idiot for coming here.
After a few minutes Anna gave up looking for someone to sit with and just sat by herself at an empty table. She didn't want to get up and go look around for where the food was yet and make a fool of herself any more than it seemed to her she already had. She pulled out her phone and just started scrolling. She thought about the note she had received earlier about some 'mandatory' lunar eclipse party on the beach. She wondered if she should go or think about what she might wear if she went. She sighed. It would be pointless to pick something out if when she went she would just sit there by herself. Anna had no idea how she was supposed to find a friend before the party. She told herself to stop worrying about it. She then began to look on her phone for ideas of what to wear, since she couldn't help being at least a little bit prepared in case she did end up going.
Within a half hour Anna had found an idea of something to wear that she liked. (view spoiler) But as she looked around, she decided it was pointless. As much as she wanted to go, and as much as she didn't want to experience the other means they had of making her come mentioned in the letter, she just didn't feel like it. Besides, in the announcement from the principal, the principal had seemed nervous about this eclipse, like something had happened on this day in the past that she'd rather not repeat. Anna felt like she would rather trust the principal about staying in her room than one of the supposedly evil heirs that wanted to hold a forbidden party on the beach. Even though it really did make Anna curious that the letters had mentioned something about love or being attracted to someone.. But she really would rather not get tangled up in the drama. With that, she began to stand up, intending to look around for some food and then go back to her dorm and not come out until tomorrow when she had class.
Hana Ford strutted into the Orb, an earbud blasting Queen from her right ear. She studied the room, and seeing there were no entirely-empty tables, she walked over to the least-full table--one with a girl scrolling her phone, looking quite lonely. I guess I do need to learn how to make friends, Hana thought, starting in the girl's direction. "Hi, may I join you?" She asked in a way that sounded polite, at least in her head. She smiled t the girl, exposing her gleaming canines.
"Oh hi!" Anna said, somewhat surprised anyone had bothered to acknowledge her, "Uh sure, I guess so," she said with a small smile. She had been just about to leave, but maybe this was the opportunity she had been waiting for. "So, have you heard about that lunar eclipse party?" She asked, noticing the girl's fangs and filing away that she was probably a werewolf.
Hana smiled, in relief, that the girl was responding in a...not-hostile way. She had made enemies already...powerful enemies. But she was powerful too. Maybe, if she got close to someone, she could learn to be protective of more than herself. "Thanks," she sat next to the girl. "Oh, uh, yeah. Astrid is in my wing, so I've heard all about the party. Are you going?" Maybe this is a normal human conversation? "I'm Hana, by the way. Hana Ford."
Annalise smiled back, "No problem," she said, "And that makes sense. Isn't Astrid the one who came up with the party in the first place?" Anna asked, "I was thinking about going, but I don't really know if I want to," she said. "Oh and my name is Annalise Collins. But I prefer Anna," she smiled again, showing her vampire fangs. Maybe this girl could be her friend.
