Katniss Everdeen is the main character in the Mocking Jay book. She just escaped her second Hunger Games and is now in District 13. Katniss is surprised that there are actually people living in 13 and every one there is a rebel. Even more surprising is that they want to attack the capital and President Snow. The rebels are an organization that is trying to stop the capital from attacking the districts.
Katniss's anger just spills out of her because her district got obliterated. The rebels ask her to be their representatives and she says yes. She goes with her camera crew to the District 8 hospital where they interview people who just got hurt by the peacekeepers. Then the capital sends in an army of bombers and destroys the hospital, but Katniss shoots down all of them. When she is recovering from her injuries she turns on the tv and sees Peeta, her boyfriend. He says "Katniss, do you really trust these people?" He is talking about the rebels. I think the beginning of the book was good. I could really see District 13 in my mind But Suzanne Collins repeated too much of the previous books, so sometimes I was bored. So far I recommend this book for people aged 9 and up.
