This was my second time reading the story. I liked it just as much as the first time. It's a great start to the series.

I wish my library had the audiobooks for this series. I'm reading from my kindle. Whoever transferred the book to kindle did a poor job. One second I'm reading about Tom looking for the Merchant. The next sentence is Mallory and David eating lunch. There were absolutely no breaks between the scenes in the kindle version.

I didn't notice that problem on my Kindle version. I also listened to both audio versions at different parts of the book. What can I say, I'm a reader and that is what I did mostly. I loved the story, but I'm sad to say that I remembered more than I would have liked to.

This was my second time but first on audio and I loved it, more than before! My version was the older one and he was good. I’ve got a mix of the old and new so we will see.

Robin, I bought the entire series the first time, all Kindle books, but don’t remember that experience. But, I use the Kindle app on my iPad and format the display to lay out like a book.

Robin my librarian told me to download Libby to my device. I have it on my iPad and my phone. It works great with all the ebooks and audiobooks I borrow.

I checked and I purchased this book on Kindle in 2013. I don't know if there has been an update at some point that didn't load for me. It was very distracting reading the story and hopping right into a different scene with no break.

I just purchased the next book. It was one of the few that I didn't already have. I'll see how it reads. If it's the same, I may download Libby to see if that helps.

I also listened to the audio book. I really cannot believe I have never come across this series before. I am glad that I joined this group, even if my TBR pile is now through the roof :)

Joanne I found this series though this group too. I read through book 5 before this group read started. Trust me your TBR will grow exponentially. I read everyone's reviews and end up adding many of the books / series to my list.
