Siren Queen - Nghi Vo - 4 Stars

Published May 10th, 2022. This book is a fantasy story set in 1930s Hollywood. Magic does not clearly leap off the page in most cases. It's subtle until you've forgotten it's supposed to be there, then it isn't. I enjoyed feeling like I've learned something of the minority female perspective, and grit, of this era.

I've just finished reading A Lullaby for Witches for this square.

I really enjoyed this book. It mixes a few of my favourite themes, historical fiction, magic and suspense :-)

I have read Sweet Love and Country Roads for this box. It is the 7th book of "First Comes Love" series. Such an easy read.. You can read in 5-6 hours tops.
