Kyle Gimpl | 3 comments Introducing my new novel. It is a character driven fast paced story that extrapolates numerous threads and developments in the world.

Accurately predicting the future even over as short a time as 80 years is near impossible. Complex systems that may appear to be predictable in the short term almost always diverge due to a emergent issue or the effect of a poorly understood variable. Climate change is a great complex issue to consider.

I had a look at the description of the novel. I like the fact that you have taken many different trends and woven them together. A lot of sci-fi tends to focus only on one key idea at a time, which of course, is not how the world actually works.

Kyle Gimpl | 3 comments You are right Khira. The research and allowing the story to be played out by the characters taught me a lot. I was surprised by the many twists and turns that eventuated...thankfully 2101: Spark of Hope version of the future revealed more optimistic possibilities than many might expect.
