Chocolate and vanilla. Chocolate and caramel. Vanilla and caramel.

No, we're not talking about ice-cream, we're talking about the delicious taste of interracial love.

Perhaps you have a story of East meeting West? Or Africa and England falling in love? Maybe even a historical love story between an English settler and a Native American? Or a British lord and a newly freed slave?

We want your stories of couples who find each other and fall in love regardless of ethnicity. Gender doesn't matter, and you can have a polyamorous relationship as well, but give us your stories of love being colorblind.

America's Anthem

Soldiers risk their lives to keep America safe. To serve and protect one's country is the ultimate sacrifice. Consequently, a soldier's love life is complicated, even more so when he's gay.

"Don't Ask Don't Tell" kept many gay soldiers silent. Even now, with the law disbanded, the fear of his fellow soldier finding out keeps his secret.

But what if our soldier found his love in the middle of a skirmish? Secretly watched his platoon mate from affair? Is his love stateside and the two constantly worry over each other? Does our soldier worry his love won't wait for him? Or the ultimate betrayal, fell in love with the enemy?

Give us stories about our soldiers finding love or trying to keep the love they've already found.

Self-Rescuing Princess

You can't wait around for prince charming, the poor fool is probably stuck in a tree somewhere and needs help getting down. These Princesses don't sulk in their ivory towers, they take up arms and slay dragons. They command respect in the courts of the monarchy. They lead their people to war.

R&P seeks stories of women getting out into the world and reaching for what they want, be it fame, fortune, a man, or another woman. Show us how they get knocked down and stand right back up.

Under Pressure Anthology

Late 1700's is the time. Europe is the place. The world has never been so ready for change or so prepared to fight it. Steam Power. It is going to revolutionize the future in ways even philosophers cannot predict.

Captains going against orders. The Queen's Court demanding tribute. A mechanic standing between the government and her robot; people will go to the edge of the earth when they're under pressure. Show us the turmoil of change and those characters who stand for what they believe in.

R&P is seeking Steampunk stories with a strong Historical thread 15k to 30k word long with an emphasis in adventure and suspense plots.

A Perfect System Anthology

It starts with an ideal. Some icon of perfection that everyone can agree upon. A better way of life for everyone. But at some point the ideal sours. When the government grows too large and the people too imperfect, the system breaks.

Give us your Dystopian worlds; show us how they started, what keeps them going, and the people who bring them crashing down. Tell us what happens to the government when it falls. Who comes in to replace it? Can they do better? Perhaps this government hides a secret? And perhaps the imperfect people are zombies?

R&P is seeking 20k- 35k word stories of dystopian fiction, and if you want to write a zombie apocalypse as the catalyst, we'd love it.

Supermassive Anthology

The brightest minds in our scientific community are working to untangle the mysteries of the black hole. They are recreating them in labs. Sending modules into space to record data from them. Impossible physics, incredible friction, the singularity- all speedbumps in the name of discovery.

If they are sucked in, accidentally or purposely, what will they find on the other side?
A different time? A new civilization? Or something that will destroy us all? Can they act as wormholes? Do they evaporate over time? What secrets do they hold? If we drove a ship through the center of one, what would we find on the other side?

R&P is seeking Science Fantasy stories between 10k and 45k words that will take us on elaborate adventures around and through a black hole.

The Seelie and Unseelie courts, elves, changelings, pixies; they've been given many names by different people. Faeries. They're mischievous, loyal, generous, and vengeful by turns. What are their lives about? What happens when they encounter people?

Their power can be small or large, their lives brief or long. Do they keep to themselves or sneak into your house at night? Where do they live? What do they want?

R&P seeks 15k-25k word fantasy stories about fair folk.
