Susan | 851 comments Last night, I finished We Two Alone: Stories for this square. Like most story collections, there were one or two stories that worked less well for me than others, but overall I really enjoyed this one. The final story is about 100 pages long, so it's more of a novella. I liked that this collection featured Chinese characters living all around the world and that some stories were historical and some comtemporary.

Natasha Penney | 563 comments I read The Spoon Stealer for this square. There was such quiet but competent storytelling. A lot of emotion and wonderful family relationships. It was a truly lovely read.

Kathleen | 545 comments Thank you, Natasha. My Secret Sender gifted me this book and I haven't had a chance to read it yet. Your comment has convinced me to choose this book for a "buddy read" in another group on Goodreads. I am really looking forward to reading it!
