I'd ask who says you mustn't walk away? Are you giving someone power to make your decisions for you? If the battle isn't worth winning, you have to walk away.

My view is, if you are already in a battle you can't walk away. If you want to walk, or think it isn't worth it, you should have done that earlier and tried to negotiate your best exit.
