I haven't even read Harry Potter, but that just seems a bit stupid and petty
I think it's a petty thing to do. I mean, think about it this way:No matter what they change its name to, if they do, people will always associate it with Quidditch and therefore associate it with JKR. It's not worth it because it's basically pointless.
Have you read Harry Potter? It's the sport in the series.

Exactly. The movies were good, but when I read the books I was entranced into the world.
At first i just read the first 2 books and i was like 'meh, its OK' Now i love them!

3. I know a lot of kids who are like oh I know its not real but then they go around pretending to cast spells and look up to that and such yk?

Yeah, I don't think I'll be reading them either. It's also really influenced by the fact that my father is a preacher. 😂
I definitely see the appeal, though. A nice, long middle grade/young adult series with tons of merch and hype.

Not really. Pirates mean they steal and kill and such. have you read Why We Love Pirates: The Hunt for Captain Kidd and How He Changed Piracy Forever
I mean yes there are pirates who chose who not to steal from but that doesn't make them good pirates.

Pirate literally means person who attacks and robs ships at sea. it can also mean use or reproduce (another's work) for profit without permission, usually in contravention of patent or copyright.

Yes, Quidditch IS a real life sport! But people want/have changed the name, due to J.K. Rowling's controversial homophobic comments. Is it worth it?
Btw, Quidditch is a sport in Harry Potter. There is also real life Quidditch which is what we are talking about.
