Bam cooks the books (bamcooks) "A heartfelt, humorous, and honest examination of what it means to be a reader, and a witty and insightful journey of discovery and soul-searching that celebrates the abiding miracle of the book and the power of reading." Sounds like a memoir I would enjoy!

Bam cooks the books (bamcooks) This seems a perfect fit for this year of making lists of books

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) How is it? I'd love to try it someday.

It was enjoyable but I had built up so much anticipation before reading it that I felt a little disappointment. Too many footnotes, for one thing. What I liked best was reading his thoughts on books I'd already read. I did add a few of his choices to my to-be-read pile as well. He does not write about all 50 of the books he read that year so that was a bit of a letdown too--there were several more that I would have liked to read his review of.
I couldn't help thinking that any of us doing this '2015 reading challenge' could write our own book after this year, lol. (Duh! Head thump!)
