I’m not too sure what happened with the encounter Zahra had with his father, but I’m glad that Rowan was able to come to some understanding with his father. I think the writing was a bit misleading and dragging on in some places, and overall, it definitely could’ve been much more polished, but I enjoyed the book nonetheless and it’s around a 3.75/5 for me. Even if it was in the epilogue because when reading it sounded like he was becoming sober and actually recognising his mistakes. Even though he is a pitiful excuse of a father and his action towards his sons is unjustifiable, a part of me still feels sorry for him for losing the love of his life! It would have been nice to see him healing and mending his relationship with his sons. Anyway, i did really enjoy the book and the ending lovely, but i know what you mean by it dragging at times! I think the whole ending about who was on his board was super cute and that we got to fast forward into the future with the wedding and baby was too cute. Gramps was not playing when he made those letters for the boys to do. Rowan is so pissed that it makes me laugh. I am curious as to what is so bad about his father other than he's a drunk. Zahra is giving Rowan a run for his money. She has a take no shit attitude and he's giving her so much shit. I laughed when he kissed her for the first time because in my head I was like 'yup you two are fucked now' letting their attractions for each other show.

I'm curious to see how everything plays out for them though. I think Zahra will be good for Rowan to calm him down and to maybe lighten his personality up so and maybe help him start dreaming again. (hide spoiler)]

I loved that Rowan is the one doing the drawings for Zahra's ideas and starting to open back up to his dreams.

The fact that Rowan is falling for Zahra and is trying so hard to avoid his feelings is hilarious to me, but the fact that he wanted to spend time with her so much that he willingly walked around the park with her all day. He was wrong for lying to here about Scott and all but he's finally come clean and they are slowly spending time with each other outside of work.
