Nominations are now open for February 2022!

No authors are exempt from nomination, since we selected an anthology, but let's wait a little while before we nominate Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller, Tricia Goyer, or Ruth Reid since they're our January read. We make exceptions for novella collections. If you're not sure if your book is eligible for nomination, please leave a comment and one of the moderators will get back to you!

Rules:
1. Any Amish-themed novel is eligible.
2. One nomination per person.
3. If two people nominate the same book, each person's vote counts. So the book will feature twice in the list to give each vote an equal chance.
4. Nominations run until the 14th of the month, with the winner announced on the 15th.
5. The winning book is chosen using Random.org to make it completely fair.
6. Please don't nominate a book we have already read. You can see our list of previous group reads here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... or look at the group read's bookshelf here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books... (it includes the Christian group read as well).
7. Only nominate the first book in a series UNLESS we have already read #1 (see above link). In this case, #2 is then eligible for nomination!

Nominate away!!

#1. Marry Me, Millie (Paradise Valley #1) by Amy Lillard -- Ashley
#2. Premeditated Peppermint (Amish Candy Shop Mystery #3) by Amanda Flower -- Natalie
#3. The Letters (The Eagle Inn, #1) by Suzanne Woods Fisher -- Nancy
#4. Premeditated Peppermint (Amish Candy Shop Mystery #3) by Amanda Flower -- Diane
#5. Winter's Awakening (Sean's of Sugar Creek, #1) by Shelly Shepard Gray -- Sandra
#6. Premeditated Peppermint (Amish Candy Shop Mystery #3) by Amanda Flower -- Barbara
#7. Shelter in the Storm (Johns Mill Amish Romance #1) by Laurel Blount -- J.E.B.
#8.

Nancy (truthfulreviewer) | 95 comments The Letters (Inn at Eagle Hill #1) by Suzanne Woods Fisher I will nominate The Letters, The Inn at Eagle Hill, book 1.
Back copy: When widow Rose Schrock turns her Amish farmhouse into a bed and breakfast, she expects there might be problems. The reaction of her cantankerous mother-in-law for one. Disapproval from the church for another. But what she doesn't expect is that the guests at the Inn at Eagle Hill will spill their problems into her life and into her heart.

This sounds good! I've not read any of Mrs. Lillard's books, but reading the info about them sounds interesting. Even if not chosen, I may read a few, or listen to one on Hoopla.

Sandra Appropriately named for this time of year, I nominate "Winter's Awakening by Shelly Shepard Gray Book 1 of the Seasons of Sugar Creek Series.
From insert: In the small Amish town of Sugar creek, OH, Joshua know what's expected of him: to work at the family store and to finally marry Gretta, whom he's courted for years. But when a new English family moves in next door and their teenage daughter catches his eye Joshua wonders if his future plans are too firmly set in stone. Gretta is shocked by the sudden change in Joshua. Their arguments followed by tense silences feel too much like the frosty atmosphere at home between her parents.
when Roland begins to take an interest in her, she considers what her life might be like with Joshua out of the picture. With Roland, Gretta have steady, kind companionship...although she knows she could never love him. When Lilly moved to Sugarcreek, she never imagined she'd be enamored of the Amish way of life and especially with her handsome new neighbor, Joshua. But she guards a secret that will surely drive him away, on that compelled her family to leave their old home and move to Sugarcreek in the first place: Lilly is pregnant.
