"He watched her walk towards his direction, crossed his fingers that this time it's because of him, and not just because of the MRT card he's selling.
When at last she reached his ticket booth and gave him that warm smile, his heart knew, and soared."

And he knows that he has doomed himself to a Sisyphean life, a life of useless, endless pining.

Which is how you started telling her about what happened to us.

Three years later, I'm glad you and I are still just friends, or he wouldn't have arrived and fixed this heart.

The pealing bell above us confirms that yes, this hour and the million hours after is indeed ours.

Ah, let's try that again...
"There is nothing wrong with us but it's not right either.
One day, someone will walk into my life and make me see why it's never right with you."

She had the best rides, with him, for 50 years."

As he stood up and left the cafe, she wondered why through her own smile, her eyes were wet with tears.

He grabbed her hand as she started to walk away and said, "With you, it had never been an act."

Five more minutes, you said; I nodded and held you closer as we drifted back to slumberland

An dissonant melody lingered - a distant memory remembered, as she stared into the nothingness of the day.

I looked at him, ready to be pissed off with how he chose the morning paper over me, but then I noticed his eyes, his knotted brows as he reads the paper, and realized how I fell in love with this man, and he didn't change; I just did.

BUT BEFORE THAT, two things:

So, without further ado, here are the winners:
ONE-LINE LOVE STORY
He watched her walk towards his direction, crossed his fingers that this time it's because of him, and not just because of the MRT card he's selling.
ONE-LINE SEQUEL
The sun spills through the windows, while our feet tangle under the sheets.
Five more minutes, you said; I nodded and held you closer as we drifted back to slumberland.
CONGRATULATIONS, AENNA and INGRID!

Remember THIS, your one-line love stories? This time around, we invite you to take one of the stories submitted as entries there and write your one-line sequels. The first line doesn’t have to be yours – all entries are fair game – and write the second line. Simple, yes? :)
Here are the rules!
(1) No word count limit, again, but make sure that it will not exceed ONE LINE.
(2) You can use ANY of the entries in the first thread; you’re NOT RESTRICTED to your own entries.
(3) However, the number of times you can write sequels should not exceed the number of your entries in the first thread. For example: Aaron wrote 4 one-line love stories. So, he is only allowed 4 one-line sequels. (view spoiler)[I have a tally sheet of all the entries so don’t do anything funny, haha. (hide spoiler)]
(4) Does this mean this meme is restricted only to those who participated in the first one? No, but first-time participants are only allowed ONE entry/sequel.
(5) Again, please observe the one entry = one post/comment rule.
(6) What if the first line that you want has already been used? No problem; write your sequel anyway. There are no dibs on the first lines.
(7) This thread will be closed on February 28 at 11:59pm.
(8) Thereafter, all two-line love stories will be collated for judging. The best two-line love story will be announced on March 1. The writers of both love lines will receive shiny, sparkly stamps on their passports plus a surprise gift from me. If you wrote both lines of the winning two-line love story, then you get all the stamps and prizes!
All clear? Write away, loves! :)
