Hello! I am Kim. Thanks for the group; I found last years quite helpful. I would say that my favorite genre is thriller and/or suspense. One of my favorite authors is Riley Sager but I like many others - one I would like to recommend is Jason Reynolds (although his work is not what I would consider part of my favorite genre. Like many I will likely say my favorite series is Harry Potter with Snape being my favorite character. Last year I finished with 101 books and completed 40 for the PopSugar challenge. I joined this group because I really appreciated last years group discussion and suggestions.

Hi, I'm Lynda. I'm excited to be participating in this challenge and to make new reader friends. I read a lot of historical fiction but enjoy some horror, fantasy, and mystery fiction too.
Hi, I'm Lynda. I'm excited to be participating in this challenge and to make new reader friends. I read a lot of historical fiction but enjoy some horror, fantasy, and mystery fiction too. My current favorites are Matt Haig, Alice Hoffman, and Frederik Backman. Tolkien, Anne Rice, Fiona Davis, Joshilyn Jackson and Beatriz Williams have fueled my imagination on many occasions.
I enjoyed the Practical Magic, Vampire and LOTR series most.
This is my first challenge aside from the one we set for ourselves on GoodReads each year. I read a lot of children's books with my daughter so my GR number is high (200) but at least half of that is family reading. I also joined the 52 Book Club this year. My personal goal that I hope to incorporate the challenges into, is to read 52 novels, 26 non-fiction books, and 150 books with my daughter. I'm not much for binge tv watching. Thanks for the reading companionship!
Hello, thanks for creating the group again! My name is Emily - I came over from the 2021 group. Last year was my second or third year participating in the challenge, but the first year that I finished. I'm excited for this year's challenge.

Last year was my second or third year participating in the challenge, but the first year that I finished. I'm excited for this year's challenge. My most read genres last year were contemporary fiction and mystery/thriller, but I read a little bit of everything fiction. For non-fiction, my favorite is definitely memoir/biography. I have many favorite authors, but Jodi Picoult has been a favorite for the longest. I also really love Brigid Kemmerer and Riley Sager. Anything that any of those three write I will buy sight unseen.
Last year, my initial goal was 150 books, which I upped twice. I ended the year with 272 books. I don't recall how I first came across the Pop Sugar challenge, but I've been doing it for a few years now. I like the variety in the prompts and how some can push me to discover new books.
Happy reading, everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Cassandrah, and this is my 4th year creating the popsugar challenge group on here! Unfortunately I've not yet completed a challenge, I've always ended up having a major reading slump during the summer and winter, but I am very motivated this year and hope to succeed!
My favorite genre of books are fantasy, romance, and ya.
My favorite author is Sarah J Maas, and my favorite series of all time is ACOTAR. I re-read it every year.
I read 95 books last year, and tried to fulfill the popsugar challenge last year but came up 10 books short.
Welcome to everyone else, and good luck with the challenge this year!

Hi! Third year attempting the challenge (2020 went surprisingly well, 2021 did not). I’ve found that making a google/word doc with every prompt and then listing books that fulfill those prompts kind of like an outline has REALLY helped me. I go through my tbr list and add books I already want to read and whatever prompts I don’t have a book for I just look for lists of books on here to fulfill those.

Personally, if one book fulfills more than one prompt I’ll use it for multiple answers unless I find another to take its place. I also loosely interpret some of the prompts. I’m not forcing myself to read something I’m not interested in just to fulfill a prompt. This is meant to be fun!
It’s hard to pin down a favorite genre, but I think lately its been sci-fi
Speaking of sci-if, Becky Chambers has quickly become a new favorite author. Her Wayfarers series has brought me to tears (in a good way) several times and I know I’ll reread it many times.
I set a goal of reading 60 books last year and ended up with 63!
I joined this group to get recommendations and chat about books.. and also because I Cassandrah invited me again from the 2021 group :)
Hi! I'm Cassie and this is my first ever reading challenge. I'm excited to see how many of the prompts I can complete and how many books I read in a year! I've never kept track but I do enjoy reading and read quite a bit. I enjoy reading thriller, mystery and some horror and romance. Thanks for putting together this group!

Thanks so much for this group. I found it very helpful last year when I was stuck on a prompt! This is my third year attempting the PopSugar Challenge. Fingers crossed!

     Hello everyone,
Hello everyone,New member here! I am a member of the GoodReads Chick Lit Book Club, but I also tend to read (more frequently) historical fiction and contemporary books that are getting a lot of press. I occasionally go back to catch up on the Classics as well. I found out about these Pop Sugar challenges last year through the Click Lit group and I participated in it, reading 15 books. I found it difficult to match books that fit the bill to those I would like. I do some other challenges in the Chick Lit group (monthly, themed) and I find it fun to match books to the challenges. Though I am finding that I download and check out of the library books and rarely, if ever (!) get to read the TBR books collecting dust on our shelves. Ive been doing the annual reading challenge here since 2012, while meeting the modest goals (25) and increasing slightly every year! :)
I am attracted to the PSC since its a way to broaden my reading selections. I have already read 2 books for 2022. I plan to stick with it....but the best laid plans.... lol.
Looking forward to some discussion. But being an architect who is quite busy lately, thankfully, I don't always post, but I like to skim comments!
Cheers everyone and Happy 2022!!
Hello, my name is Stephanie and I came over from last year's group. I read a lot of non-fiction which can be heard when trying to fill prompts.
Hello, my name is Stephanie and I came over from last year's group. I read a lot of non-fiction which can be heard when trying to fill prompts. One of my favorite authors is Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I'm not good with reading a series of books, I usually forget there are more books in the story or lose interest.
I ended up reading 110 books last year and participated in 4 challenges, none of which I finished because I got tired of reading to fill a prompt.
Hi I'm Kim. I've been doing reading challenges since 2016 because it helps me focus my reading. this is my first year doing the pop sugar challenge. My friend and I are doing it together. I am disabled so I have a lot of time to read. I finished last year with 290. I've also started writing again so I'll probably do less this year but I'm currently participating in this challenge as well as the 52 book challenge.

Hi all, my name is Laurie. I am doing quite a few reading challenges this year as it helps mix things up a bit. I have all prompts on word documents that I update after every book.
