Welcome Kathryn! Wonderful to see you jumping straight in. Just let us know if you have any questions.
Hi Lincee and Kathryn, good to have you on board 😃Well done Kathryn on jumping straight into the challenge, it's so much fun! Hope you enjoy The Vanishing Half as much as I did.
Hi everyone! My name is Anne. I'm a cross-stitcher, diamond painter and a reader - of course! I love taking long walks, listening to an audio book or just chilling out in the garden with a good book. My favorite genres are mystery and thrillers but I also love literary fiction.
Hi Anne. Welcome! I also love long walks, and of course reading. We are pretty broad in the genres we read in this group, so you will have lots of recommendations.

Thanks Sandra!
Thanks Sandra!
Hi Kristie, Margo and Janice!
@Janice - I love diamond painting! Goes so much faster than stitching and the pictures are just stunning!

I do and I love them! As you say, a great way to read and diamond paint at the same time. I also listen when I cross stitch.

I listen when I do puzzles or crochet too. Love audiobooks. I feel like I'm wasting time if I'm doing a puzzle and don't have one on. lol

Hi, I’m Nilesh. I’ve never really gotten involved with a group before, I came across this and looks great. I’ve had a good look around and I think I know how things work! Looking forward to getting involved in the challenges and activities and meeting you guys :-)
Welcome Nilesh! Don't hesitate to ask if you find something confusing. There is always a lot going on in this group.
Hi everyone! I'm Vanessa and when I'm done doing the sciency reads for my studies, I currently like to spice things up with some fantasy or magical realism in my free time. I also enjoy a good audiobook while knitting or sewing.I've never been engaged in an online community before but since my friends aren't big readers and don't get my obsession with fictional characters I'm really curious what this group has to offer. The description sounds great anyways! <3
Welcome, Vanessa! You are not going to lack friends to discuss books in this group. We also have audio-book lovers and knitters.
Hi Vanessa. Welcome. We have lots of activities going on. We just started an event to read banned books in honour of banned book week.
Welcome to the group Vanessa, I also enjoy reading audiobooks when I’m pretending to tidy my house. I’m new here as well, joined less than a month ago and I’ve already become addicted to the challenges and group reads. I’m sure “You’ll Love This One!” Hope to see you around.
Welcome Vanessa! Definitely agree, you've come to a great place filled with people with your similar interests :DLet us know if you need any info or have any questions.
Welcome Vanessa 😁 I can do audiobooks while I crochet, but am such a newbie knitter that I can’t do both at the same time yet, but I’m sure that it will come 😉 Always lots to do here, so I’m sure I’ll see you in the stacks 😊
Hi Vanessa 👋 It's very frustrating when you really want to talk books and noone is interested - you won't have that problem here 😄
Wow, so many warm welcomes, thank you guys!Janice wrote: "We have lots of activities going on. We just started an event to read banned books in honour of banned book week."
Thanks for pointing that out. I jumped right in with Looking for Alaska! :)

Agreed, they're great for that as well! I'm really looking forward to the monthly reads. Next month's topic seems interesting for coaxing me out of my comfort zone. I'm not really into the horror genre, but who knows? Maybe I'll enjoy it.

Oooh, I feel you! It really gets better with practice but it still happens to me when I'm doing patterns I haven't done before. When I get confused I need to turn off the audiobook...:D
Hey, y'all. I'm Jane. I was a member of YLRO, about 10 years ago. I still read primarily mysteries (mostly cozies, some paranormal also) and romantic suspense. In addition to reading, I enjoy bird watching, baking, and binge-watching tv shows.
