NEW RULE UPDATE FOR 2022 COMPETITION

Starting in 2022, we have decided to allow books you started in 2021 and continued in 2022 to count towards the competition. This means you can count the FULL PAGE count. If you are reading a 400-page book and read 100 pages in 2021 but finished the rest in 2022, you can still count all 400 pages in your points.

The rationale was that some people were putting off reading at the end of the year and worrying about not being able to add points to their team. Since this is just for fun, we don't want anyone to stress over their reading habits. :)

We trust you not to take advantage of this to read 10 books in December and just hold off on reading the last few pages so you can add a ton of points on January 1st.

For people who join the competition late, the previous rule stated you could add books starting from the day you signed up. With this new rule change, you may add books you started before your sign-up date, as long as you are still reading after your sign-up date.
