I’m listening to By Its Cover, the 23rd book in the Commissario Brunetti series set in Venice. I’m enjoying the series and listening/reading them totally out of order!

I’m also reading Lessons in Chemistry and liking it so far.

I wound up a yearly challenge with a new favourite book, Too Much Lip, by Aussie Aboriginal author Melissa Lucashenko. It is like sitting on the verandah with an indigenous family in a small town in Northern NSW.Love, jealousy, land rights. Lots of language, both Aboriginal and swearing. Loved both the written and audio editions.

Tough, stubborn young teen Duchess Day Radley says she is an outlaw and will do whatever she has to to protect her little brother in We Begin at the End by Chris Whitaker. Good story, bit too long.

I'm reading The Winners for my January book club meeting.

I just decided to abandon the audiobook I was listening to, About Grace. I couldn't overcome the love triangle of the first chapters. I can't stand love triangles. So I have to find another audiobook I'm in the mood to read.

I'm making progress on One Last Child for my last annual challenge book. So far it's really good, just struggling with finding time. Fortunately, it should be pretty easy to finish in the next couple of days.
