Can't believe I've already read 90 books out of my challenge. Will read a few more and then probably make a modest increase as November and December are always slow-down months for reading with NaNoWriMo and Christmas preps.
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "Wow, that's very impressive Pam"Thanks Desley! Probably reading too much though and not getting on with other things.
I know that feeling well, I might be able to read a large book in one week, but don't come and look at the house, as it's bound to have been neglected!
Read Where the Dead Walk by John Bowen - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1641794529and

and
Death in Delft by Graham Brack - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5066506670

Read Daughters of the Dragon by William Andrews - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5076634569

Read All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders and reviewed it - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2733212566
Well, having read 99 books in my challenge I've now modestly increased it to 105. I'm erring on the side of caution because November/December are always busy months and I did once bump up my target and then fail to meet it. So I'll see how I get on and may increase it again if I have sufficient time left.
Review catchup:read The October Country by Ray Bradbury - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5090952175
and
The Moving Finger by Agatha Christie - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5108125458
and
A Murder of Crows by Sarah Yarwood-Lovett - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5108195077
That's 102 books and I have two more on the go at present so I will have to increase the target again. Just modestly though as wary of overcommitting with a busy six weeks ahead.
Increased my target to 108 but with this review catchup have read 106:The Gawain Quest: A Medieval Mystery by Jay Margrave - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5116464730
Echogenesis by Gary Gibson - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5108281954
A Cast of Falcons by Sarah Yarwood-Lovett - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5116402685
and finally
The Child In My House: A gripping and emotional page-turner with a breathtaking twist by Lucy Lawrie - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5116431502
And one I forgot - Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of History - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/4890356509
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "Glad you've been able to increase your target, I am slightly regretting my increase at the moment!"Oh dear! I'm not sure whether to nudge mine up again very slightly - it's now 110 and have read 108 plus am halfway through my current book (the one I started after I finished Drood below - that one took ages due to the length and the slow going).
Just finished Drood by Dan Simmons but sadly found it disappointing - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5116645818
One book away from completing the challenge but might nudge the target up slightly as there's still a few weeks to end of year.
Finished Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky and reviewed it - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5170122916
Read The Wizard of Oz by L Frank Baum and reviewed it - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5170414488
Decided given the nearness to Christmas that I wouldn't extend the challenge any further though I expect I'll read a book or two by the end of the year. So my 112th book is:Four Sisters: The Lost Lives of the Romanov Grand Duchesses by Helen Rappaport - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5175648150

Ever Since Darwin by Stephen Jay Gould - reviewed - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/4769486601
