Happy New Year to all. There's a reason I don't 'do' Goodreads much, and that's because it's so difficult to edit my author page. I have new books and new covers that I'd like to add, but doing so - i.e. contacting Librarians - is so time-consuming and clumsy that I find I just don't have time to spell out every change I need to make. Will there be a point where authors will have complete control over their book edits? Thanks.

We are also happy to do so for you, as some people find it easier to ask rather than navigate it themselves.
Goodreads librarians are volunteers and thus have no insight into Goodreads policies, so you would need to write to Support directly if you wanted an official reply.

It would help your case to have more definite publication information for your book. Do you have a more accurate date than just "2022"? Publisher? ISBN?

All I get are error messages, i.e. 'Default book description can only be set by Goodreads Librarians' and 'this feature is not for book covers.' So, I'm unable to do any of the things I need to.

I've been working on doing that, but now I need to confirm with you what the new order of the books in the Invasion series is so that it is listed correctly.

I think I have updated the books.
Go to "all editions" for each one and look through them until you see the current cover. Then go to that edition and follow these steps to set them as the primary edition that appears on your page.

I'm with D.C. I've virtually stopped using Goodreads because it takes forever to get anything done on my author page. I cannot update my books. I was a librarian so understand I could add new covers, new blurbs, editorial comment etc. but all I get is an error message. i.e. 'Default book description can only be set by Goodreads Librarians' and 'this feature is not for book covers.' although I believe I was trying to set the cover as a different edition.
So why am I not a librarian any more? I am so frustrated and find myself using Bookbub, librarything and a couple of other sites rather than Goodreads which allow me to update my books without such frustration.
Do I really have to load all the covers and new blurbs and editorial reviews here for all my books so that someone else has to fix my books?

Any comments about Goodreads should be sent to them directly. If you need help with your book records we are happy to help. I recommend making a new post in the Book Issues folder.
This feature is not for book covers only appears when trying to add an image to a book in the additional images section.

Emma, please help me.While trying to learn how to improve my Author Page, I added two books (only partially added) to my "Your Books" section. Now, I can't get rid of these incorrect entries.
One mistake starts with "Through Both" and the other mistake starts with "Yarn." The books that these were meant to be are already on my list. Please remove this "fragments" of added books. Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks."You can't do that yourself, and librarians also don't have the necessary authorisations to merge claimed profiles and non-claimed ones with followers - this requires an intervention from a staff member. I have submitted a request to staff to do so.
