Hummingbird Salamander kidnapped me from the start, the fragmented powerful prose the brilliant fully-fledged characterization of Jane and the narrative. Anyone can recommend other books with the same interesting stunning quality?
Thematically and story-wise, Aberrant by Marek Sindelka and Venomous Lumpsucker by Ned Beauman. But in terms of writing style, they are quite different so you have to see if you like them.
