Yeah I'm getting both sporadically now. Super weird but I count my blessings when it's the old format that shows up!
Now that's really weird Krystal. Mine changed over on the laptop and phone and has stayed that way.

I have a problem with the new book page: I've read and reviewed the Kindle edition of The Woman in the Library, but now, when I want to listen to the audio version, I go to the new book page on my tablet, select "all editions" and select the correct audio edition, bring up that page, click on "currently reading", but then when I go to my home page, it shows I'm reading the Kindle edition again, I can tell because they have different covers. I can't figure out how to be "currently reading" the audio edition from this new GR incarnation. Luckily, my laptop still lets me do it.
Oh, and why do I bother ticking "keep me signed in" when it keeps booting me out again?
Your booting out problem seems to be common. Lots of people are complaining about it.
I have also seen someone else commenting about the editions problem. Once your laptop switches over you are going to have a big problem unless they fix it.

"Thank you for participating in our new book page beta, which has now ended. We have returned you to the current version of the page while we prepare to bring the new book page experience to all of our customers."
So it looks like they are making their final changes.. I guess!

That is amazing, Brenda. Go you!!"
Thanks Suz :)

It's interesting reading everyone's experiences, but I'm dreading when it happens to me! I don't do well with change...

Ditto. As I said before, why do they insist of fixing things that aren't broken? Just when we get comfortable and know how to navigate and do everything we want to.....

Love it!! Have you worked out where you're going to get the camels from when you move house?

Just a mention here, for anyone who has finished their COVID challenge and forgotten to update, it's fine to do it now. You'll be ticked off once you let me know :)

ON the subject of COVID, Maggie O'Farrell has just written a good piece (all of her stuff is great) in The Guardian about her dice with the dreadful disease. https://www.theguardian.com/books/202...

Thank you Patty for the link. Makes me even more intrigued for her next novel.

That was a really good read.
We are very excited as we have author Alice Pung OAM visiting tomorrow for a session with students.

Wow! High school, Diana? I LOVED my signed copy of Laurinda when I won it all those moons ago when Aus residents were able to enter GR giveaways!
I went to a Dymocks lunch with Ann Cleeves as the guest speaker today. There were hundreds of people there in the ballroom at the Sydney Hilton. The food was great and Ann was very good indeed. Down to earth, amusing and informative.
It certainly was Helen.
It was funny though that people were complimenting her on the stories in the TV show, Vera, and she just laughed because she didn't write them - the script writers did. She also concluded the Shetland Isle series of books because the TV series took it in a whole new direction.

How do I get this magical notice? Haha Anything to be rid of that new book page! 😂

Jealous, Phrynne! She's such a talented writer. Interesting what she said about the TV show taking her Shetland series in a whole new direction!

Yes at a high school. Alice Pung was absolutely wonderful. She has a great way of winding a story, sometimes going off track but always coming back to her point. Our 150 students were spellbound.

YES!
YES!

Oh, that's so great! I love when youngsters are engaged! It must have been treat meeting her!

Oh that’s a bummer.
