Thanks Diana and Brenda. Did not click on any links so seems to be okay - though I did have a word document fry on me and have spent several hours resurrecting it. (Note to self to back up my work more frequently.)

Time (or demands on it) gets away from us all.

I have just finished my 250th book for the year - that leaves only 100 to go to complete my goal :)

Very impressive, Brenda! Congratulations!

I am in awe, Brenda! I have no idea how you do it and then write blurb-worthy reviews!

Well done Brenda 👏👏 How do you do it? 😃
Thanks Krystal, Phrynne, Patty, Trish, Sharon and Helen! I love what I do so it makes it easy - and that includes everything with the groups and our lovely members as well :)

Good job on your 213, especially as you work full time as well, plus participate here!

Agree Brenda, like you Phrynne is always ready to encourage us all. Where do you both find the time..no sleep 😉

Truly amazing Brenda! And Phrynne - I don't know where you both find the time to do as much as you both do!
Marianne - also amazing! I think all three of you are going to break your personal best records this year! 🏆

No I won't be breaking my personal best but I am determined to scrape in at 350:)

Well that's definitely not too shabby Phrynne!!!

Thanks Kylie :)
Thanks Kylie :)

I noticed at work today that they've changed over the book page format as they've been threatening to do for a while! But it's not yet changed on my home computer. Maybe that's got something to do with it?
Mine has changed over completely to the new page. I have seen other people with your problem Dale so maybe as Krystal says it is part of the changeover.

Yes, I have the same problem, Dale. It seems to do with the new book pages. I really don’t like it. I can’t even open a book page on my phone. On desktop, it works, but has lost multiple functions. I can’t see this being a good thing for Goodreads. It feels so much harder to read people’s reviews now too.

I agree Rowan. The reviews seem to have only one or two rows visible, yet there is so much white space on the page!
It’s also a lot harder to add books from the new book page, if you want to select an edition, add to multiple shelves and so on. I guess we will get used to it though.
Also, why such prominence for the ‘buy on Kobo’ button? I could understand if it was Kindle/Amazon. I thought this might be something I could control in my preferences, but apparently not.

Why do they insist on fixing things that aren't broken?

Indeed Marianne! There's so much else they could fix - like the use of sockpuppets to bulk up 'likes' for reviews, fake accounts and those men who treat GR as a dating app! (Just to mention a few things needing fixed!)

Thanks Rowan. Good to know I am not alone. Thanks Ladies for answering. I have contacted Goodreads about it, so will see what happens from here. A lot of us would like things to just stay the same, not change for no reason.

Amazon has noticed unusual reviewing activity on this product. Due to this activity, we have limited this product to verified purchase reviews.
I will see later if I can review an other books that I have not purchased :)

I've seen a lot of people in other groups reporting this same problem. It seems to be related to unusual activity regarding that particular book (sock puppets, fake reviews etc) and not to you personally or to whether you bought the book or not. People have said they've been able to go back sometime later and post a review for the book. Hopefully that's the case for you :)

Thanks Brenda, hopefully I will get it done later :)

They never let me post any reviews, Helen, because I never meet the purchasing requirement to qualify. I just have to hope the same product's available via Amazon.au, otherwise, they don't get a review posted!

I can't believe I didn't find it before now Patty, and the one hour loan doesn't really matter as it sits there to renew from the same place anyway!
