2022/2023 - Chat about whatever you like: the weather, good stuff, bad stuff, family or pets!
Regarding the FOGO - our council gave all residents a small bin with the green bags which fit inside, which we toss into the large green bin when each is filled. The council gives us a roll of 150 bags annually and if we use them up before then, we can get more at libraries and the council offices. I haven't had any problems with them, think they're a great idea.

Yes, that's the ones I mean, but our bags are just a bit too small for the bin and tear when you try to fit them in. And when you lift them out to put in the green bin, they often fall to bits. Maybe your council paid for sturdier bags...

Looks great Marianne. Will you be close enough to walk to the downtown shops and restaurants? And..."
Sounds fabulous Marianne!

We get the small 'compost' bin and bags from council in October, 🤞for good quality bags.

Maybe they did. Ours fit perfectly and stay in their shape without disintegrating so that's a plus!

it turned out to be the exact opposite of anything I wanted: a bowel kit :(
Our sincerest sympathies go out to the loved ones of the killed and injured in the horrific crash in the Hunter Valley last night, where a bus, returning people to their accommodations after a wedding in the vineyards, crashed, killing 10 and injuring 25, some of whom are critical. A tragedy after a happy event...
Tragedy indeed Brenda! It is almost impossible to imagine how anyone related to the accident is coping today.

Dreadfully sad. Condolences to families and friends of all affected.

Incredibly sad.

After the Grafton and Kempsey bus crashes all those years ago, it is.

One of my daughter's best friends has lost her cousin, plus another person she knows has friends that the husband is in hospital and he's lost his wife and daughter in the crash.

That must be beyond belief in terms of grief.

Yes already there are. A young couple from Singleton, both died on the bus and left behind 2 young children :(

Exactly. How would you cope? There'll need to be a lot of support given, that's for sure.

Oh no! That's heartbreaking. I hope they have a strong family around them. Just too sad....

So sorry to hear Helen. Take care, don't worry about your challenges - getting better is your top priority :)

That's no good Helen! Hope you get better soon and get back home (where your books will still be patiently waiting!)

Health always comes first Helen, and reading and books will always be there for you to return to.. I hope you are soon on the road to full recovery and home.

A course of IV antibiotics and you'll be right as rain. Hope you're feeling better soon. Take it easy.

Hope you are doing okay - my Dad suffers from Cellulitis as well and was in hospital just last week for a couple of days. On antibiotics as usual now.
That sounds pretty bad Helen! I hope the food is reasonable at your hospital. I know that matters when you are in for an extended time.

I agree with Phrynne :) Can't you read at all Helen?
