Regarding the FOGO - our council gave all residents a small bin with the green bags which fit inside, which we toss into the large green bin when each is filled. The council gives us a roll of 150 bags annually and if we use them up before then, we can get more at libraries and the council offices. I haven't had any problems with them, think they're a great idea.

Yes, that's the ones I mean, but our bags are just a bit too small for the bin and tear when you try to fit them in. And when you lift them out to put in the green bin, they often fall to bits. Maybe your council paid for sturdier bags...

We get the small 'compost' bin and bags from council in October, 🤞for good quality bags.

Maybe they did. Ours fit perfectly and stay in their shape without disintegrating so that's a plus!

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments A few days ago I had a notification of a parcel awaiting me at the post office. I wasn't expecting any books, but still, a parcel.....
it turned out to be the exact opposite of anything I wanted: a bowel kit :(

Our sincerest sympathies go out to the loved ones of the killed and injured in the horrific crash in the Hunter Valley last night, where a bus, returning people to their accommodations after a wedding in the vineyards, crashed, killing 10 and injuring 25, some of whom are critical. A tragedy after a happy event...

Tragedy indeed Brenda! It is almost impossible to imagine how anyone related to the accident is coping today.

Dreadfully sad. Condolences to families and friends of all affected.

message 1017: by Leonie (new)

Leonie (leonierogers) | 3567 comments It must be one of the worst road disasters in Australian history, I'd think. And they were all trying to do the right thing - and not drive home.

Incredibly sad.

message 1018: by Sharon Louise (new)

Sharon Louise | 137 comments Just horribly sad :( Obviously it's incredibly sad for family and friends of those killed and injured, but I can't imagine how the actual wedding couple must feel - their special day and coming anniversaries will always be marred with sadness, poor things.
