Not book related, but can't but help admire the 70 year old retired art teacher and 62 year old retired nurse for completing the Sydney to Hobart. Warms the heart.

Congrats to all readers in reaching their 2022 challenge - from the mega readers to the modest. What finer way to savour life than thru an armchair and like-minded people.

Well, I have sent a query to GR, maybe we will hear back.

Thanks Suz. I can't increase mine anymore. I barely made it in 2022! Have to wait until I retire:)

Here's a list of LitHub's best book covers of 2022. There are some real doozies!https://lithub.com/the-103-best-book-...

I definitely don't have the same taste in bookcovers as whoever selected these!

I think the person who chose those likes a very distinctive artistic style, which isn't to everyone's taste (including mine!)

I'm with Carolyn on this one! Not mine, either!
I’ve suddenly got a lot of strangers “liking” my reviews of particular books. These people have very few if any friends and few books, one of them using the same profile picture with a different name.Obviously they are scammers but what do I do about them? I don’t want them infiltrating my profile etc.
Block them if you can work out who they are Jools. They can't see your profile if you do that. Or any comments you might make.
Brenda wrote: "Block them if you can work out who they are Jools. They can't see your profile if you do that. Or any comments you might make."Can’t seem to do that Brenda as they all have their profiles set to private 🤷🏻♀️
*Edit to note I have found where to block them and have just blocked twelve people! All have liked my Jasper Jones and Honeybee reviews in the last couple of days.
In all my Goodreads membership years I have never had anything like this happen, it’s only now since the “new” Goodreads format that things are going weird. Spam stuff 😡

In fact it has happened to everyone who has reviewed Honeybee. Have a look at yours Brenda and Carolyn.
Just checked my Honeybee likes and ditto. All private accounts, few books, no friends. Sounds like sock puppets again. There's probably no point blocking them all - more will just spring up, but is there anywhere we can contact GR about the problem? Perhaps if we all do at the same time they might actually do something.
Carolyn wrote: "Just checked my Honeybee likes and ditto. All private accounts, few books, no friends. Sounds like sock puppets again."Yep, even as we speak. Surely GR can do something about this? It never happened in the past…I get email notifications every time they post 😡
They try a bit harder these days. Now there are fake photos attached to their accounts which make them look more real.

Yes I've noticed loads of review likes for both Honeybee and Jasper Jones. I also had no idea why!!

Looks like most of my GR friends who reviewed Honeybee have them too - Sharon, Patty, Suz, Lisa, Gloria and that's just the few I've looked at.
It's wild! I'm just reporting as they come up now but too many to go through and report. I'm honestly too lazy. But how strange that it's just these two books! Also not my Jasper Jones one, maybe because I only gave 2 stars? Hmmmmm...Craig Silvey apparently has a GR vigilante working on his behalf.
More than one Krystal!! I've had at least a dozen in the past hour or so and since the discussion, I've checked them. And yes, all private profiles with nice pics!! Why don't these people get a life!!
A lot seem to have 17 books and 0 friends, and two of mine with different names had the same photo!!
