Dr. Andy | 10329 comments The Be Intentional Reading Challenge
In 2022 we are bringing you two new YEARLY challenges. You heard that right, a yearlong challenge. This challenge will last from January 1st, 2022, to December 31st, 2022, with final scores announced on January 1st, 2023.

The goal of this challenge is to push your boundaries as a reader and actively encourage you to seek out stories you might not otherwise read. This is a prompt based challenge. There are seven categories with 20 prompts each. Each book submitted can only count for one prompt, but you are welcome to move your books if they fit another prompt after posting. For every category you finish, you’ll receive 50 bonus points. If you complete all 140 prompts, you’ll receive 200 bonus points. Prompts are repeatable if you finish all 140.

If you are uncertain if a book will count for a prompt, please ask in the Questions/Recommendations thread. This thread will also contain links to book lists that can help fill these prompts besides the ones listed.

The Categories: Queer/LGBTQIAP+, BIPOC, Disability, Religion, Language & Geography, Non-fiction, Miscellaneous. All prompts can be found in the message below.

The general challenge rules can be found here . All reviews will be submitted to the Yearly challenge review thread: TBM.

On hold/not counted:
Prodigy- Message 29 not counted as does not fit the prompt submitted
On hold - Life of Riley message 30, not sure this fits for QPR as it’s not the same as being best friends.
On hold - Girl on the Verge - message 31, not sure MC is biracial since only indicated she is Thai-American but that by itself does not mean she’s biracial. Looking for clarification whether MC is also white or another ethnicity/race.
Oh hold - Love Frankie - message 31, waiting for clarification on whether there is an F/F romance.
Alpha’s Submission - Message 32, not counted as the MC is not Intersex, but possibly transgender.
On hold -The Love Hypothesis & American Queen - message 32, need confirmation the author’s are queer in order for them to count.
A Crown of Petals & Ice - message 32, not counted since Native Land is meant to mean land that is held by Native, Indigenous or First Nations people. Fae do not fall into that category.
On hold - Daughter of Shattered Skies - message 38, not counted as needing clarification as to whether the mythology is based on a real world religion.
Deathless Divide - message 46, counted and marked as second book for BIPOC: Historical Fiction category, can be moved if wanted.
