I set aside Such a Pretty Smile -it just wasn't working for me right now. It could be the elderly character dying of dementia. I just went through that with my mom, and I can't deal with reading about it at this time.

This is really good. I think it's a shame that James Moore doesn't get more attention for his books. Many of the them are so worth the read.

Reassuring Tales: Expanded Edition
Seriously considering DNFing this one. While this collection does include the classic “Events at Poroth Farm,” the rest of these stories—what I’ve read so far, anyway—range from uninspired to downright bad. In a way it reminds me of Ramsey Campbell’s Inconsequential Tales, a similar collection of early works and leftover stories that weren’t good enough for any of his regular collections. But Campbell’s title, at least, indicated the slight nature of most of the works in the book. Perhaps if Klein had given this a more honest title I’d be feeling less negative about it. “Buyer Beware,” maybe?
