You just named off a bunch of tales that I truly enjoyed! Many of them are in Dark Descent, but it's such a HUGE book I haven't read the whole thing yet, just stories here and there.
On topic, I finished the latest Orphan X book and I'm about 225 pages into
by Clay McLoud Chapman. It's GOOD!

For what it's worth, there are still stories in that anthology I haven't read, too. Also for what it's worth, if you like Wagner's "Sticks" Valancourt Books has reissued his collection, In a Lonely Place which includes that story and, among other good stories, "The River of Night's Dreaming," which may be closer to Clark Ashton Smith than to HPL. I mention it because it's a long-time favorite of mine.

I have seen that new edition and I am looking forward to getting it when my budget allows. FWIW, I recently purchased two books from them, A Different Darkness and Other Abominations was absolutely PHENOMENAL, and The Black Maybe: Liminal Tales which just came in, but I'm planning to read next, after I finish Langan's Mr. Gaunt.
Valancourt has it going on over there!
Matthew Stokoe
I'm currently reading Cows by Matthew Stokoe. Not good for those who are squeamish; I'm about halfway through and can't imagine how it could get any worse, but I know it does.

I just finished Season's Creepings: Tales of Holiday Horror and I am currently reading Secret Santa.
Back to non-fiction for a bitReading The Parapsychology Revolution to be followed by Whisperers (but looking at the reviews may not be a good one).
Chapters on the weekend - they had an H.P. Lovecraft collection - but not an author I have read much - except The Dunwich Horror, which I have read years ago, so now have to find a copy and reread.
The Golden by Lucius Shepard A 1993 signed trade hardcover I bought from the owner of Centipede Press last year that I'm finally getting around to.

I have a hard cover of that one that I scored in a used book shop last summer. I really enjoyed it and I hope you do too. (The book I have is nothing like the beauties that Centipede puts out.)
I started Stranger Sins
and I think I'll start
which I recently bought from Valancourt Books.
Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli: The Epic Story of the Making of The GodfatherIn general, I don't care for mob movies but imho The Godfather is one of the best movies ever made. It tells a great story. Thought I'd treat myself to this book for the Christmas holiday. :)
Char wrote: "That looks awesome to me, fan of all thing mafia movie related."
It's pretty interesting so far. Starts off with how The Godfather book came to be written.

Yep, that's the one! We were eating dinner when we watched that episode, at the end of which my husband said he no longer wanted to watch that show. LOL
