Angelika | 70 comments there's an idea like that in the shatter me series...and other topics like confidence issues (with self-acceptance /self-love goal)

Laurane | 13 comments In this idea, I would say “November 9”( Colleen Hoover) or “Playing with fire” (L.J Shen) where the girl has scars because of an accident in both books

Anksita | 31 comments the deal by elle Kennedy
playing with fire by LJ shen
romancing Mr Bridgerton by Julia quinn

This has already been mentioned, but I would really recommend Ruthless Knight by Ashley Jade - It's a personal favourite of mine and it's a perfect example of this trope

Tiya (tiyaa) | 68 comments someone recommend the dare but DO NOT read that book the girl does have body issues but you know what her friends do? they body shame other body types to make the (main character) friend feel better. That book always fetishises WLW for the pleasure of men. I couldn’t even finish it because the amount of times there friends body shamed just to make there friend feel better about themselves

message 16: by Tiya (new)

Tiya (tiyaa) | 68 comments THE DARE body shames other body types instead of actually making a point about how “all bodies are beautiful” it doesn’t even do that everything revolves around her, Elle Kennedy portrayed this book really badly. Apparently she isn’t even plus sized because she fit into summer clothes which is a bad representation of plus size appearance in “the dare”

sorry I just had to get that out (it made me cry a couple of times because it was my body type they were making fun of) and there was a few other body types they mocked.
