I am an American living in NYC with an office next door to Madison Square Garden where things like March Madness and Final Four are played! I am not all that clear on what exactly they are! 🤣
So don't feel bad.
As an amusing aside...there were 2 highly descriptive scenes in A Suitable Boy set at cricket matches...and I did not understand one bit of the game being described.

Dickens was one of my 2 picks and I am distressed. My other pick was Ann Patchett so not completely heartbroken.
But I also was secretly championing Dorothy Dunnett...who was also rejected.

@Theresa, thanks for Ann Patchett!!

That's a good question, and the answer is yes . . .but I think I am going to make one or two adjustments to the challenge so that those whose winner is eliminated quickly can still earn participation points . . .in case you want to continue to play along and have a chance to earn some prizes.

I will track down who submitted this name and double check with them, but for now, please go ahead and assume it is the author of the Lynley series, and I will give you credit for votes/pps regardless. Will get clarity before the vote takes place for sure!

I remembered because I have one early in the series in the TBR, and thought this challenge might prompt me reading. I am a fan though I stopped reading the series after a few. Happened during my younger lawyering years when I switched to cross stitch and other needlework for relaxation.
