Another year has ended, and I've already made plans for next year's book club. What did you think of the books we read this year? Did you read all of them? I read all but one, and I started the year listening to Audacity of Hope ( audiobooks are just as good as music on road trips). Were they all new to you? or were some of them rereads? 5 of the titles were rereads: Their Eyes Were Watching God, City of Girls, Murder at the Vicarage, The Hobbit, and Party of Two.
This was my first read on Persuasion. Before last year, I had only read Sense & Sensibility. Next year's Austen will be Emma. Do you enjoy reading Austen? What do you think of her characters?
Boyfriend Material was, I thought, a fun read for Gay Pride Month.
Circe and The Vanishing Half were also new to me, and I enjoyed both of them immensely.
Did you have a favorite of the books we read? Any books that you would like the book club to read? Please let me know.
8 of next year's books are new to me titles, and I'm looking forward to reading them.
I hope you enjoy your New Year's Eve, and have a safe and happy New Year.

The Audacity of Hope Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream by Barack Obama Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert Persuasion by Jane Austen
Murder at the Vicarage (Miss Marple, #1) by Agatha Christie Boyfriend Material (Boyfriend Material, #1) by Alexis Hall The Hobbit, or There and Back Again by J.R.R. Tolkien Circe by Madeline Miller The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett Party of Two (The Wedding Date, #5) by Jasmine Guillory
