OMG! UNO-time = happy-time! And I cannot wait! :D
I am Apoorv, currently live in Boston, MA and this will be my 6th time playing, starting in 2015! Feels ancient now! :O (It is one of the few team challenges that I have been on the winning team, so it certainly holds a special place. Haha! :P)
Last year, I had an absolute ball captaining the coolest team there was. We had so much fun reading so many different books. Can't wait to see the wonderful folks I get paired with this year! :)
I don't have any specific books that I want to read per say in 2022, but I do hope to finish up and continue on some of the series that I have ongoing, and what better challenge than this to do so. :)
I am already excited, and we haven't even entered 2022.
Thank you for bringing back UNO again this year, UNO Pixie. Let's do this! :D

I am primarily a romance reader (historical, contemporary, suspense, paranormal, I'll take it all). I also read mystery/thrillers a lot and the occasional urban fantasy.

Cant wait to play!!

Where are the sign ups? If this is it, then I'm in. I've played before and countless other team challenges. It's easier to list what I don't read than what I do read: not big on YA unless it's along the lines of Harry Potter or Eragon, not a big reader of anything religious or self help.

If possible I would like to have F and Janeylou on my team as I convinced them to give UNO a try.

📕 Team Challenge experience: I've been addicted to them for years!
📕 Have you joined UNO before? I've been on several UNO teams and loved every single one!
📕 Favourite genres: Historical fiction, romance, sports romance, mystery, thriller, psychological thriller.
📕 Book you can't wait to read in 2022: OMG I definitely will be reading

I also LOVE anything by Colleen HooverBrittainy C. Cherry, Amy Harmon, Jennifer Armentrout, J.A. Redmerski, Tijan and a few others.
Goodreads helped me keep my sanity this past two years, and in particular this year after losing 5 good friends within the past 6 months and my sister in November. I kind of went MIA for the most part this past 4-6 weeks with the exception of a couple challenges because I just needed to after my sister's passing. I also have a planned MIA for most of January and February because I'll be visiting family in Florida, but I will be doing a couple of my favorite challenges and UNO is definitely one of them. Therefore I will join and definitely contribute a lot of books!
I would really love to be on these two people's team, if possible: Apoorv and bamaace83 (if she signs up) :)

You are going to LOVE this one! Welcome! :)

LOL I am right there with you! :)

Already bringing the fun to this challenge! LOL

I can't wait to meet my team and get started. I have tons of books I want to read (my gr shelfs are overflowing), so I can't really pinpoint what I'm looking forward to the most.

📕 Name - BookishlyWise (you can call me Ash)
📕 Team Challenge experience - Newbie!
📕 Have you joined UNO before? Nope
📕 Favourite genres - Mystery, Non-Fiction, Romance
📕 Book you can't wait to read in 2022 - So many!
The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race - 2, 6, Blue
11/22/63 - 2, 6, 7, Red
The Lightning Thief - 2, Yellow
Boomerang: Travels in the New Third World - 2, Orange, White
Klara and the Sun - Red
The Grand Design - 2, 6, 7, Black
Flesh and Blood - 4, 5, Red

Uno is fun, but inevitably the yellow books I have saved for years are never the ones I need to find, which leads to much cursing of the book gods chez Cat!

All the info is in the All About post thread in this folder 🙂

Another thing - the first time I played UNO I was overwhelmed by the description at first, but the team was there to help out and answer all my questions, and it was so much fun. If you communicate with your team, read books, and most importantly enjoy yourself, it's a success!

So, I have been hearing about UNO since 2016 *waves to Karen* but never joined. I wasn't even a perks member - that changed today!

Fair enough! Buying, selling and moving house is one of the most stressful processes.

So sorry to hear that Vicki. Here's to 2022 being a bit brighter

This chat thread is just for chat and we can't monitor it for player/team requests as it becomes too difficult and we will miss things!
If you have a request you can put it in your comment in the sign-up form. We can't always put people in the same team but we do try. You will need to give their goodreads username (not just a first name).
If you already signed up and forgot to add in a comment, Google will let you edit your form if you signed in before you filled it out. If you can't, then you can direct message this account and we will add it in your sign-up for you.
All the info on UNO and the sign up form is here:

Thanks all!

My favorite genre is Romance and most sub-genre attached to that. Some thrillers and Suspense will get thrown in the mix form time to time. Quite a few books look amazing for 2022 but I also have a TBR pile that I will never finish so it's usually just what ever strikes my fancy at the time.

I look forward to this every year since my first time a few years back. I get most of my reading done during the winter/spring months and this challenge is always excellent for getting me out of a reading slump. Can't wait for this years one (or rather next years :P)

Yay Carol!! Glad to see you here! <3 Can we be on the same team please?

* Think about how many books you can read in a month.
There is no benefit in UNO to under-estimate because each team has a fixed number of books to read each month. It is best to be as accurate as you can so that your team doesn't finish the month early and then is bored for a week!. Have a look at what you read over the last 3 months, or for previous players what you read over last UNO.
* Do you want to be in a "chatty" team?
Consider your interaction on Goodreads. Do you want to log in at least every other day? If so you may want to select your preference for a "chatty team".
If you can only commit to checking the team once per week, a chatty team is not for you.
If you don't think you can make it onto Goodreads once per week (even if you haven't read anything) then UNO is not for you.
* Set up your UNO Shelf.
This helps your team captains check your books, and is also quite cool later when you want to see what you have read in UNO over the years. Goodreads help explains how to add a new shelf if you haven't done it before here
YOUR USER NAME IS VERY IMPORTANT
every year we have sign-ups that don't get this right. If you do not enter it correctly, we can not find you, which means you won't be placed on a team.
To find your user name:,
1. go to the desktop version of Goodreads. This means use a web browser on your tablet/phone/computer to go to www.goodeads.com
2. (sign in if required) Look at the top right hand side and you will see the far right circle that is your profile picture. Click on it, and then select "profile"
3. What you now see in the URL bar is not www.goodeads.com but instead your profile name. For example, this Pixie account shows www.goodreads.com/user/show/52624155-...
This means my user name is 52624155-uno-pixie
4. In the sign up form you will be asked to enter the number and the name separately (this helps with our formulas and to make sure people enter this information correctly). So my number would be 52624155 and my name would be uno-pixie

Good timing! Welcome!

Uno was my first ever team challenge, but I’ve done several more since then! Most recently the Wheel in the NBRC group — and I see several of my recent teammates in this thread already!!
My favorite romance is genre.
For books I'm excited to read… there are a LOT, but I’ll just pick this one:

My sister bought it for me for Christmas, and since it’s a color cover (looks much more blue in person) I’ll be saving it for Uno!

I read lots of different genres....depends on my mood I guess.......I m looking forward to just relaxing and enjoying the game

📕 Have you joined UNO before? 4th year this year
📕 Favourite genres: Romance, Suspense
📕 Book you can't wait to read in 2022: I've been hoarding some color covers that I need to check off my TBR.

Hi Keely,
I suggest you sign-up with a lower number estimate.
If you end up being able to read more, you can work it out later with your captains and team.

📕 Team Challenge experience: I've done a few challenges but this one is my favorite

Hi Preeti!
We meet again! Yes, Pretty in Pink was fun, wasn’t it? I was just looking at your books read this year. I am amazed at your numbers, and in awe. You are a Super Reader!
Here’s to another fun UNO this year.

I believe Lauri was on my team my first year team and I'm starting on my year 7 also. Lauri, hope we get matched up again this year, but looking at the number of teams that might be a long stretch.
I have captained and then co-captained with the infamous Judith the past few times. I don't know how we'll do it without you this year, Judith, but you deserve a break, even if you are gnashing your teeth on the sidelines and have itchy fingers to edit the spreadsheet!
Excited for the start!

Vicki, my heart goes out to you with all those losses of loved ones in such a short time. I can relate to the loss of a sister. Mine was 13 years older than me, but still way too young. She was a huge reader and inspired me to do the same. It's been 21 years since she's been gone, but thankfully I can still hear her gorgeous laugh in my head just like it was yesterday and it always brings me a smile. My hope for you is that your memories will bring you comfort in time. XO

This will be my 5th or 6th Uno, I think? It was my very first team challenge, and it turned me into a challenge junkie.
I always have a little pile of books with color covers that work for Uno just sitting there staring at me wondering why they are not higher on the general reading pile. Not that I anthropomorphize books or anything.
