I loved that there was a little something for everyone. Western, mystery, vampires, demons, magic, a touch of gore, humorous horror, a buddy road trip tale. In less deft hands that many disparate threads might have created a jumble, but the story flowed freely and was well paced.

Ha! I feel the same way!

Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed Book One! About to start work on Book Two next week.

Ronald, I love all the mish-mash of horror tropes mixed together, especially vampires. Oh, how I miss real vampire stories. Question for you - Twilight came out 15 years ago and skewed a whole generation into thinking vampires are supposed to be pouty and sparkly. Do you think the horror world is poised for a vampire rebirth, or did that series forever taint how we look at bloodsuckers?

Actually, I think vampire fiction still has a promising future ahead of it. Take, the recent publication of Brian Keene's With Teeth for example. Certainly not Twilight by any means. Brian has a way of revitalizing some of the genre's well-worn tropes, so who knows? I've heard that he's considering continuing the storyline. I'll do my part with Jules Holland in the Dead-Eye series and, maybe sometime in the future, a sequel to Zebra vampire novel, Blood Kin.
